A delightful and unexpected find in the heart of Medicine Hat! We drove to the area to find the Japanese restaurant we were seeking was closed for a family event. Fortunately, we’d walked past the Mexican Hat on the way, and decided to give it a go. What a great, welcoming staff and a very good chef. Our foursome ordered tacos al pastor, veggie tacos, and tacos alahombre. Each was served street-style, with great corn tortillas. Ordered beans and rice on the side..also...

The Mexican Hat is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots whenever I visit Medicine Hat. I've only been a couple of times, but each visit has been memorable. We were greeted by one of the friendliest women I’ve ever met—so pleasant and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience.
