A wonderful place with friendly staff and beautiful Ukrainian-style interior in a small village to taste Ukrainian dishes and drink coffee or tea with cinnamon pastries

I walked in at 5 minutes to closing time. Most of the clean up was already done, but they took the time to prepare some amazing cabbage rolls and sausage that smelled as wonderful as they tasted. They even threw in a delicious cinnamon roll to boot!
Can't wait till I have time to sit and enjoy the full menu!

Had the 3 cabbage roll side, it was expensive as hell and bland as hell too
Very hospitable. Thankful for the encouraging staff and friendly service.
We came to Mundare as part of our explore Alberta experience. I looked for a restaurant in Mundare to go to and liked the reviews I saw. It’s a quaint, very small town kind of place, but that isn’t a negative at all. Lots of crafty things available for sale by local artists. Paintings, photos, jewelry, stained glass and assorted things decorated the walls. The people working there were welcoming and friendly, the food was delicious! We each had a perogy, cabbage roll and Ukrainian sausage plate for $18.10. There were 3 of each and came complete with sautéed onions, real bacon bits, sour cream and coleslaw. I have been making cabbage rolls and perogies for a long time at my own Ukrainian church and can absolutely verify that the food here is legitimate awesome Ukrainian fare. It was worth the one hour trip and we will be back. For the few people who had negative feedback, all I can say is, you don’t know good Ukrainian food. Take the time to check it out, you won’t be sorry!

Amazing food and good attention. The sausages and the perogi were awesome. If you are close you have to go and try it. It was totally worth it.
What a lovely place we found to stop on our road trip! Food was good (local plates) and the staff was incredable. The place is like a small museum!!!

Nice little bistro but if the $11.00 lunch plate got any smaller it would have to be served on a saucer. 2 tiny perogies two very tiny cabbage rolls and one very small piece of sausage. Extremely small portions for your money. Like a small snack plate. Have the borsht, nice size bowl of soup.

Cozy little bistro, showcasing arts and crafts for sale from artists, nestled in the heart of Mundare, a short walk south from the big sausage!
The breakfast was delicious, as was the accompanying Mochacinno! Of course, it wouldnt be a complete trip without trying some of their famous cinnamon buns, I had 2 and they were both tantalizing!
Wether you stop for a quick coffee or a meal, enjoy this giant gem in a small town!
