Mundare Bakery & Lori's Eats and Treats

Oh man. This place is super good. You can taste the butter in the flaky pastry that they use to make the Jamaican patties. I bought one of each frozen pack of patties, as well as one of each of the pre-made frozen dinners. As well as a couple baked items from the bakery counter. Spent over $100.

Braised ox tail, jerk chicken and curried goat. I fed one of the lentil & quinoa patties to a friend who is not fond of vegetables. Not only did he eat it but when I asked him what he thought afterwards he said it was really good! Then I told him it was all veggies and he was surprised.

**edit** I was interrupted by a phone call while posting this review and forgot to mention that I drove an hour out of my way to go here. This place is NOT open Saturdays. I would definitely go back for more. My sister lives in town so now I ask her to run in and pick me up some stuff if I'm not able to make the drive out there.

I love Lori and her Eats and Treats, so glad she reopened our long closed Bakery. I appreciate that she's very choosy about ingredients used in her baking, its all good . One of my many favourites are her Jamaican Patties, they taste exactly like you're in the Caribbean .

Stopped by this bakery on a whim while visiting Mundare for Glow Garden Center. Purchased Jamaican patties, blueberry lemon loaf, onion cheese bread, dinner rolls, soup, and a Jamaican sweet potato dessert. Was thoroughly impressed with the flavors and quality of every item. Will definitely be stopping by Lori's stall at farmer's markets in Edmonton this summer for more tasty treats!
