I stopped in one day after work because I've heard rave reviews about the chicken here so I asked if I could buy just a couple pieces to try, see if I liked it or not. The staff were quick to accommodate me - I paid for 2 pieces and they generously gave me 3. I have never had such delicious chicken in red Deer - the meat was tender, the coating was crunchy and it wasn't greasy like at other places. Went back into the restaurant the next day quickly and informed the cook "best chicken ever". I will absolutely go there the next time I want chicken!”

Their chirashidon is absolutely amazing — super fresh, generous portions, and honestly reminds me of Korean chirashi-don with gochujang, which I loved. The bowl is very big and filling, definitely worth the price.

What really stands out is the warm, friendly service. It feels like a true family-run business, and you can really sense the care they put into the food and customers.

If you’re in Red Deer and craving fresh Japanese-style rice bowls or sushi, this place is a must-try. Highly recommended!”

“I've been to this State and Main many times. It is excellent. The Honey Glazed Cajun Chicken is my favourite dish. A perfect balance of spice with a hint of sweet. So good. I come back though for the service. The lounge side in particular is the best. Lindsey for one truly goes above and beyond with her friendliness and intuitive service! Even when it's very busy she ensures you have everything you need. Adam behind the bar is extremely fast and never leaves your glass empty! He's also quick with a joke and your order always comes out just right. Best bartender in town. Finally, I need to highlight Maria too who has exemplary service every time! These 3 highlight an excellent staff as I've never had bad service here. You should go.”

If I coulda fit it, I would have gone back for a 2nd!! Thankyou Clearview A&W for putting Teens on sale and thankyou again Devesh! “Early in the morning, we went through a drive-thru before heading out on a long drive. We ordered two sausage McGriddles and drinks. While already on the highway, we noticed the cheese was missing from the McGriddles. We called the store, not to complain, but simply to provide feedback. The manager, Patricia, was very apologetic and assured us she would relay the message to the kitchen team. She also promised to make it up to us the next time we visit. This, to me, is a great sign of good customer service—being able to acknowledge mistakes and showing a willingness to improve.”

“Husband and I had a great first time at this board game café! The price to play is super affordable, especially considering how huge their game selection is. We had a game in mind but there truly is something for everyone. Would love to see a label that indicates a game is co-op. The food menu has tons of variety, whether you want a quick snack or something a bit more filling. The store itself is clean, well organized, and really comfortable to hang out in. The retail section is a bit overwhelming, not really sure how the games are organized there. The staff were a big highlight too: they greeted us right when we walked in and were super friendly and helpful, especially when explaining how everything works and helping us get started with the games. Definitely coming back!”

There was mention of the steak, in the Spaghetti & Steak meal, being a bit tough but otherwise, everyone was very happy with their choice. “If you into burgers, fries and milkshakes then you need to stop by here and give it a try. The menu is very simple with only a few burger types ( the good old days instead of 12 different types of burgers now adays that leaves you questioning your life decisions and your own waist line.)

The burgers are good , the fries are good and a lot ( don’t buy family size unless you have a large family, the regular size fries is enough to feed 4 people.) The milkshakes are awesome with many favors include bubblegum to banana to chocolate chip.

The only issue is they can get extremely busy at times leaving a long wait so plan ahead and try to hit their slower times.”
