The staff were quick to accommodate me - I paid for 2 pieces and they generously gave me 3. I have never had such delicious chicken in red Deer - the meat was tender, the coating was crunchy and it wasn't greasy like at other places. Went back into the restaurant the next day quickly and informed the cook "best chicken ever". I will absolutely go there the next time I want chicken!”

My food ended up taking a little longer than expected, which was OK with me as my friend and I were content visiting, but she came over with a free piece of cake in apology. It was so unexpected and sweet. Then, when we left, we bought some pastries to go, and she gave us each a macaron. Our whole lunch was so incredible, and I so appreciated the wonderful service! I told him that I would like that today and he can chat on his own time not mine. He get snarky with me. I over hear him say to the other girls that he should spit in my milkshake. Needless to say I was livid. I told him I heard what he said about spitting in my shake. He denied it but I know what I heard. I will not be going back to DQ and I demand that you fire that kid. “Early in the morning, we went through a drive-thru before heading out on a long drive. We ordered two sausage McGriddles and drinks. While already on the highway, we noticed the cheese was missing from the McGriddles. We called the store, not to complain, but simply to provide feedback. The manager, Patricia, was very apologetic and assured us she would relay the message to the kitchen team. She also promised to make it up to us the next time we visit. This, to me, is a great sign of good customer service—being able to acknowledge mistakes and showing a willingness to improve.”

Our server was very friendly, attentive and helpful in explaining some menu items to us. Cost and portion size were less of a consideration, but were also very good in my opinion. Cute, clean setting in an out of the way location but was busy during the lunch hour so while new to us it is not a secret.”

We had a game in mind but there truly is something for everyone. Would love to see a label that indicates a game is co-op. The food menu has tons of variety, whether you want a quick snack or something a bit more filling. The store itself is clean, well organized, and really comfortable to hang out in. The retail section is a bit overwhelming, not really sure how the games are organized there. The staff were a big highlight too: they greeted us right when we walked in and were super friendly and helpful, especially when explaining how everything works and helping us get started with the games. Absolutely Delicious – My New Favorite Spot in the Food Court!
I stopped by Eka of Japan in Parkland Mall the other day and tried their chicken and shrimp noodle soup (grill noodle special with chicken and shrimp), and wow – it was amazing! The noodles were perfectly cooked, the chicken tender and flavorful, and the shrimp added that perfect fresh seafood touch. Everything was stir-fried to perfection on the grill right in front of me, with plenty of veggies and that delicious signature sauce soaking through. The portion was generous, hot, and fresh – easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a mall food court.
What really stands out is how it beats out the usual chains – way better flavor, bigger portions, and incredible value. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better.
If you’re shopping at Parkland Mall or just passing through Red Deer, do yourself a favor and grab something from Eka. I’ll definitely be back soon – highly recommend!”
