It was our first time here in Red Deer, stopped by Barkada Grill and was highly satisfied with the experience. Highly recommend the goto especially during winter. Portion sizes are big enough for two or more.
Will definitely drop by again next time I visit Red Deer.

I am from Nova Scotia and visited friends from Calgary. We went for a long drive and came across this Filipino restaurant in Red deer to end our day trip.
Thanks to Trixie & Divine for a great dining experience. Of course, the Chef and whole kitchen cook authentic Filipino food to the highest level. "Laing" was savory and creamy, topped with chilli for option to make it spicy. "Sisig" OmG , its hard to justify by just words - you have to really try! Crispy pata was so crispy , so good with of coursedippingsauce vinegar on its side. Service was not great but EXCELLENT! Trixie & Divine was just amazing. They really took care of us and did an extra mile. Did great suggestions. Constantly checking on us. Place was clean too from table to washroom. Spotless! Of course, THE FOOD was delicious - LAING , SISIG & CRISPY PATA! Chef and kitchen team, you did a great food out there. Keep it up! That was a very pleasant dining experience by far. You guys should be proud of what you do!!! THANK YOU! 5 🌟

I appreciate the food that we ordered at Barkada Grill.
This is not our first time here, but it's our first time ordering @mike_life_travels comfort food.
The saltiness and sourness of sinigang is how Mike wanted for his sinigang. KARENDERYA style ☺️
They did not skimp with their ingredients. They used pork liempo instead of pork kasim or pige. As a bonus, they even gave us free sabaw to take home because we couldn't finish the whole order.
The monggo with fried bangus is another delight. I seldom fry fish at home, and whenever I cook ginisang monggo, it's always partnered with something fried like bangus or galungong. Thanks to our local store in Edmonton, we can buy fish and have them clean and fry it too.
The BBQ and Pansit combo that I ordered is very sulit to the last bite. For under $20, I have 2 sticks of pork BBQ (or chicken), 2 spring rolls, and a good portion of Pansit Bihon-Canton. I had to order a side dish of plain rice because of the sinigang and besides.. Being Asian and Filipino, who does not eat their pansit with rice? 😂
Although some may taste the food maalat "salty", especially if their customer is someone like my dad whose taste bud is always "ang alat or ang tamis" naman nyan 😆 🤣 but at least we didn't have to eat the sinigang with patis and sili which is a common condiment for sinigang.
Anyways, thank you for the food. There was a minor mishap with my order, that's why we had to wait longer than expected, but the food was worth the wait. ☺️

I LOVE this place. My girlfriend and I were in town and were craving some Filipino food and thankfully, Red Deer has this lovely gem of a restaurant which satisfied our needs.
We had the pork liempo, beef sinigang, and garlic rice and I 100% recommend all dishes. The only (minor) concern I’d like to address is that the sinigang wasn’t as sour as were hoping for but that’s entirely based in preference as it was still very delicious.
Shoutout to the lovely team at Barkada Grill for a lovely lunch, we’ll for sure be back if we’re ever in town.

We ordered chicken nuggets (we got chicken strips instead) and kwek kwek. Both foods were undercooked. At first we had 3 pcs of chicken tenders and we barely ate the 1pc because we noticed it was undercooked so we told the server about it and she said she was gonna replace it. The chicken was served again but there were only 2pcs and it was overcooked like almost hard. It was for a toddler. The server knew that. They never replaced the food, they just put it back to the fryer and overcooked it eventhough we touched the food already. Same thing with kwek kwek, batter was not cooked. Please be careful with the food you serve especially for the kids food. Also, please fix your menu. The chicken you gave to us was not chicken nuggets, it was chicken strips.
