My cousin, sister and I came in the afternoon of November 3rd. We were actually on our way to a different cafe, but saw this place first and decided to check it out. We are sure glad we did! While the food and coffee were average, the service was AMAZING. I didn’t catch their names, but our baristas were two older ladies that were just HILARIOUS. I really can’t express enough how much we enjoyed them. Laughing to the point of tears they were so funny without even meaning to be. Not sure how often they work, but definitely hope to catch them again! Thanks for lasagna soup and salted caramel late😉

Lovely atmosphere, service, and great coffee - flat whites were spot on (from an Aussie).
Get your bean juice here!

Ordered food online from Runway Cafe and am taken aback. I ordered a few sandwiches that I believe to be grilled due to the picture online showing that they are grilled and to my surprise they weren’t grilled in the slightest. Along with that I had received a cookie with my order and when I took a bite out of it I tasted the genuinely worst cookie I have ever had in my entire life. The initial taste was quite bad, but the after taste.. the after taste was soul wrenching and I cannot believe that it’s sold or even determined as edible.

ordered soup and sandwich combo and they sent me pasta salad .. garbage
This is a cool little shop! What a chill and welcoming atmosphere! A hybrid coffee shop and travel agency. It's also clever- regardless which side of the store you came to visit, you have a good chance of engaging with the other! The people are very polite and professional as well. Best part? The food is made in-house as much as possible, even baking their own goods in a kitchen directly behind the counter. A must-visit in the heart of downtown.

Decent coffee, but overall experience felt a bit underwhelming
I visited this café hoping to enjoy a good mocha and a light lunch. The mocha itself was okay, but I was a bit disappointed with the presentation — it was served in a disposable cup. I personally prefer when mochas are served in a proper coffee mug, where you can appreciate the foam and sometimes even the little latte art designs.
The atmosphere is fine, but it seems the space is shared with a travel agency. When I visited, there were no agency clients, but I imagine that during busier hours, it might feel a bit crowded or distracting if people are there to discuss travel plans.
The service was quick and the staff was friendly, which I appreciated. However, the sandwich we ordered was very basic — just slices of pre-packaged chicken cold cuts (similar to deli ham) and a single piece of lettuce. It didn’t feel like much thought was put into it, and it wasn’t particularly enjoyable.
Overall, it was an okay visit, but nothing really stood out. I gave 3 stars because while the service was nice and the drink was fine, the food and presentation could definitely be improved.

The service is nice, but the food is definitely lacking. It's hard to find any vegetarian options in this city.
The quiche was soggy and overall just flavourless.
Also the fact it's also a travel agency makes the ambiance kinda strange, you're overheating someone work while you eat.

My boyfriend and I came here on a little morning coffee date and man oh man did they make a good first impression. The coffee is extremely affordable and their offerings of savory dishes and sweets are delicious. The staff here are also really really friendly. The cafe has a really friendly atmosphere as well, lots of open space between seating/tables, soft jazz music, and low lighting is really nice for those who definitely are looking for a calmer place to start their morning. There is plenty of decor to look at without feeling overwhelming. Definitely worth a five star rating in my eyes.

Top notch coffee and treats. Excellent service from the little miss.
My husband and I had a great dinner. All the food was delicious. The portions are very generous. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Ordered 1 dish per person. Every other restaurant I've ever ordered from gives you a legitimate takeout size dish which is generally a pie sized dish or something similar. This restaurant gives you a small soup bowl for 20$ for a VEGETARIAN DISH that doesn't even have cheese!! It's robbery. If I wanted to spend 34$ on chili I would have fed a small army. This portion was hardly enough for a single person. You're not fine dining. Ive never seen portion super-controlling like this in any takeout. It was delicious but only if you're feeling luxurious and peckish lol
Really cozy & simple cafe experience. Service & overall vibe was excellent. Currently the best cafe in red deer to get a cappuccino
