My first experience at Branches was fantastic, so I made a plan to take my mom there for her birthday, as I was sure she would love it.
I'm not sure if it was just an off day, but the service we received was awful. They weren't super busy, but our server was frequently nowhere to be found.
Our meal sat under the lamps, ready to come out for a very long time as 9 other meals that came up after ours were delivered to their tables. When we finished up our meal, we sat with empty glasses and waited ages for our server to return, and when she didn't, I flagged someone else down to ask what desserts they had and request our drinks be refilled. Our server stood chatting with another server for a good 10 minutes while our dessert sat not 2 feet away from her, then she walked away and disappeared again, to come back 5 mins later and bring our dessert to the table.
We never did receive our drinks, I had to go ask for cutlery for the dessert, and we waited another 10 mins for the bill after requesting it.
This was nothing like my first experience there, but after such a disappointing birthday treat for my mom, I'm honestly not sure I'll be back.
A table that was sat just ahead of us when we arrived had THREE groups come and go from it in the time we were there... and we weren't being slow or indecisive.

Tried to stop in at Branches this evening for a coffee and a treat before our 3 hour drive home. When the hostess asked how many were dining we said we only wanted to order a coffee to go. Apparently they stop serving take out during certain hours of the day (which doesn’t seem to be posted anywhere online) when they are “busy”. The restaurant wasn’t even half full. If they can’t handle making two coffees to go I would hate to see a full dining room. We tried to get them to bend their “rule” since we bypassed at least 5 other coffee shops in favor of Branches. Definitely left a bad taste in our mouths. Very disappointed in the service, or lack there of, that we received.

As always the food was great. What exceeded my expectations was the Service. Our Server was Jamie. Lovely young lady. Very attentive. I had a gift card, so I used it to pay. However they can’t use the gift card for tip. I told her to bring over the machine so I can use a card to tip her. She said “no need” and insisted. This kind of kindness is rare. So people of the internet go to branches and tip REALLY good. I’m going to go back and drop off a cash tip and treat for her tomorrow.

Look good. But consumers need a thicker wallet to enjoy the food and services.
Vegetarian options: You can replace bacon with stirred eggs.

They close 1 hour before they close. Drove 45 minutes to the restaurant. They said they are open until 9, but stop serving at 8. Because that is logical, right? Turned me away at 8:20.
Need to work on their common sense.
First time coming here with my partner and a friend of ours. First impression was great! Lady who greeted us was very friendly. Atmosphere is clean and very cute as well!
The problems were mostly the drinks, food, and service.
I ordered a Bellini. I thought it would be a rum peach slushy type drink like everywhere else. What I received was a wine glass with ice cubes and a wine/syrup peach drink. It was awful and I didn’t even finish it.
I ordered the chicken burger which sounded delicious! And it would have been if it followed the menu. It was supposed to have pineapple on it and it didn’t. I told the server and she said it doesn’t come with pineapple. I showed her the menu and she told me that it was a typo and it was actually pineapple aioli. It wasn’t though, it was siracha aioli. If you guys are out of pineapple just say so and I wouldn’t have ordered it. Super frustrating. The burger was alright but needed that sweetness.
The spinach salad was great though!
I’ll come back again and try a pizza and a different drink. I’ll give it another chance.

My husband and I came here for a bite to eat while shopping for plants...I got the breakfast pizza and he got the breakfast bowl. My pizza was pretty soggy in the middle where I couldn't pick it up as it was just fold in half...as I got to the outside of the pizza it was good. My husband loved his breakfast bowl though. Service was meh, we asked for the bill which she brought to us. We sat there for 20 minutes waiting for a debit machine to pay...she never did come with it. So we got up and went inside where 4 or 5 waitresses were standing. We had to ask one of them to pay so we could leave...it was really awkward.
All in all, I probably wouldn't drive all the way from leduc to eat there.

My husband and I frequent Greenland often and have been wanting to try Branches for a while. Miraculously, it was not too busy on a Saturday afternoon and we gave it a go. We both had the wood-fired pizza for $18 each. The smoked salmon with capers was very salmon forward with the taste. I personally found it too salty but my husband gobbled it up. His Tropical Carribean pizza was a winner for me. Delightfully spiced chicken, pineapple, a nice sauce and served with micro-greens on top.
During happy hour on weekdays (not including Fridays), the pizzas are 25% off. I thought $18 a pizza was reasonable, but at $13.50 they are a steal.
Service was very quick, everyone was friendly, and they do have separate bathrooms inside the restaurant itself.
Looking forward to coming back and trying more of their offerings next time!

The scallops were amazing and the avocado bacon chicken sandwich was although I felt it needed something tangy like tomato or an aioli. It was kind of plain tasting in a way.
