“I’m from Philly visiting family in Edmonton. A friend recommended Phat Boy and wanted to know my opinion as I’m from the city of cheesesteaks.
When I stopped by the restaurant, I spoke with the owner, who is very nice and said I was from Philly and looking forward to trying his cheesesteaks. What was interesting for me was that he imports the bread and the meat from Philly which makes a huge difference as it makes it authentic. As we talked, I also recommended that if he can, he should import to other local Philadelphia food items such as Tastykakes and pepper Hoagie Spread.
Here’s honest review. The cheesesteak was very good and tasted like a genuine Philly cheesesteak. I wasn’t used to the breaded onions but it added a unique and delicious texture and taste.“
