The Chopped Leaf

I’ve been to plenty of Chopped Leaf locations and usually walk away happy, but my first visit to the Baseline spot in Sherwood Park? Let’s just say… if disappointment had a flavour, this was it.

The chicken Caesar wrap was soggy like it had been crying in the fridge all morning, and the chicken inside was dry and chewy with the texture of a flip-flop left in the sun. I thought, “Okay, the chickie quesadilla will save the day.” Spoiler alert: it did not. The tortilla was dried out, the chicken was still tough, and the filling? What filling? It was crammed into the middle like it was hiding from me, leaving the outer halves completely empty. Even the center barely had anything in it. Honestly, I’ve seen more substance in a bag of air. For the price, this was laughable.

Then came the dip situation. The quesadilla comes with ranch, but I asked for Caesar instead. They said it would cost extra, which I agreed to, but almost $2 for a tiny blob of Caesar? I’ve seen bigger samples at Costco. Outrageously overpriced and just added insult to injury.

Overall, this meal felt careless, flavorless, and not worth the money. If you’re expecting the fresh, well-prepared food Chopped Leaf is known for, this location is not it. Save your money and your taste buds.

One of the best places in Edmonton to eat bowls, salads, wraps, quesadillas and sandwiches. Different types of dressings are available. 😋

We have been regular customers of the Baseline location for the past seven years and can highly recommend it. Our daughter loves the bbq quesadilla and they never disappoint her. One of their service staff, Yogesh, in particular, is always so pleasant, and goes out of his way to provide excellent customer service at every visit. I recommend you give them a try for a quick and healthy meal.

I am giving this place 3 stars because while the wrap and soup were very good, along with the excellent and polite service from the young lady, I unfortunately have to agree with a lot the previous reviews in regard to portion sizes. The soup, which was almost $5.00, was tiny and the wrap was very small as well. For almost $16.00 I definitely expected more.

First time here. Excellent salad. A little pricey as I added extra protein to my salad. Not a fan of tipping when ordering at a counter but I probably could have skipped that prompt.

The one star is because the guy was fairly nice but this place is gross. As soon as you walk up it’s dark and the doors are nasty. It feels so gross once you go in. I was actually scared I was going to get food poisoning. I won’t be coming to this location again. There is another one down Sherwood Drive that is really good!!

Wish I could give this place a 0. Dude is touching his phone and on his phone the whole time and then proceeded to handle the food with his dirty gloves. Took about 20 minutes for two orders of food. Will not be coming back

What a delightful treat! Not only was the food delish, price was right, but Yogesh was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend checking this Chopped Leaf out, especially if Yogesh is there to serve you.
