Ordered a blizzard. Hires local youth. Great service. Plastic spoons and straws. Will not go to places that offer the soggy straws

My brother brought me home a large poutine, fires, cheese curds, and smothered in gravy; except only the top 7 fries had drops of gravy on them. ... if i wanted normal fries thats what i would have ordered, not a poutine!

Dairy Queen: A Slice of Summer Nostalgia (and a Perfect Banana Split!)
Some places just scream summer, and for me, Dairy Queen is at the very top of that list. It's more than just an ice cream spot; it's a direct portal back to childhood memories, and a beloved tradition that my family looks forward to every year.

I'm talking about that kind of Dairy Queen – the classic, small building with no inside access, where you walk up to the window. It's only open when the weather warms up, and honestly, that just makes it all the more special. It's a true sign that summer has officially arrived.

Our routine is simple but perfect: a warm summer night, the family piled in the car, and a mission for a sweet treat. It's become a cherished tradition, a little ritual that marks the season and brings us all together for some simple, unadulterated joy.

And for me, there's only one choice: the Banana Split. It's my absolute all-time favorite, a masterpiece of vanilla soft serve, ripe banana slices, and those classic chocolate, strawberry, and pineapple toppings, all finished with a generous swirl of whipped cream and a cherry. It's perfection every single time, hitting that sweet spot of creamy, fruity, and utterly delicious.

But honestly, it's not just about the fantastic treats. It's about the feeling. It's the laughter, the sticky fingers, the melting ice cream drips down the cone (or cup!), and the simple pleasure of being together on a balmy evening. It’s a taste of nostalgia wrapped in a present-day pleasure, creating new memories while reliving old ones.

Dairy Queen is more than just a dessert spot; it’s a treasured summer institution. Here's to many more warm summer nights, many more family treats, and many more perfect Banana Splits!

Went through drive thru for ice cream. Long line but went fast. They were working hard.
Ice cream I ordered wasn't available but the person who took our order kindly recommended a couple blizzards that were similar.

Very terrible experience. A younger girl named Taryn took my order and asked if I would like to round up. I told her many times no and she said it’s okay it’s only 15c. I’m not complaining about the 15c but I’m complaining about the fact that realistically you shouldn’t be allowed to just do it when someone says no many times.

Just picked up a no.1 double burger. I watched them make it and patties came from a heated pan with lid. To me they are not fresh broiled, the patties were rubbery, chewy like they were done way ahead of time and steamed. I writing this review because it happened once before on my order. This should not be served to the public. The owner, manager, and the person making these burgers should taste the food first before serving it to the public. I don't blame the person making the burger, OWNER & MANAGER ENSURE the food is fresh & patties are served right after they are broiled!

The manager is an absolute joke.
We called with a serious complaint and he brushed it off saying it wasn’t a big deal, and then proceeded to yell at us and deflect the owness. Awful. Avoid at all cost

Update- I have been trying to get in contact with the store and the company.
I was exposed to a peanut product that DID NOT belong in my item.
The response I’ve gotten so far from the manager was pretty much it’s my fault, I shouldn’t eat at a place that has allergens. The manager even acknowledged during the call that yes peanut butter cups don’t belong in the blizzard I ordered. No one has apologized or accepted that they made a mistake.

The pricing is DIABOLICAL. $6.29 for this. My chicken sandwich and fries were $13 and the chicken was so overcooked, I was ripping into it like a freaking wild animal.

The ice cream melts very quickly and they try to upsell extra Sunday toppings instead of just giving you the appropriate amount

The DQ Fudge nut bar is the very definition of SHRINKFLATION! There was MAYBE 1 TbSp of fudge and about 8 peanuts in the whole bar. The onside chocolate dip was like eating wax. The last bar I purchased about 1 month ago had NO FUDGE. I have been a customer of this location since it opened and the quality and portion is so disappointing.

So, if you are reading this...dont waste your money anymore at DQ. You can get much more for your dollar at Costco or by buying boxed ice cream bars at the grocery store across the street.

It's so sad to see the quality drop at Dairy Queen franchises.
