We went here after reading the good reviews. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! The burger was very sub-standard. McDonalds would have been far better. A complete waste of money. I do not recommend this place. The gravy was the only good tasting item. Perhaps if you're a small child you'll enjoy it here. So sad, as I was truly expecting more. Perhaps if you paid and left a tip AFTER the meal they would improve? Perhaps. I will never know, because that is one local establishment that lost customers.
Parking: Lots of parking for a Sunday evening. To be expected for the location.
Wow!!! 10/10 place to eat, lots of choices for fries, poutine, cheeseburgers and more. Had a very relaxed and chill vibe to the place. The picnic table seating was cute and fun!! They had a fantastic gluten free bun on the burger that didn’t fall apart. The fries were lovely and crispy. They even reassured me that their fries were done in their own fryer so no cross contamination occurred. The milkshake was also gluten free and there were your classic flavours. For the kids they also had some cute colouring sheets. A great little place to eat, I will be going back for sure.
My husband is from Quebec and I brought takeout from here for him and he really enjoyed it. The fries, gravy and cheese curds were very similar to those you would find in Quebec. Wish there were a few more cheese curds. Think the Montreal smoked meat sandwich was a bit overpriced for how basic it is but I assume it’s costly because they need to bring the meat in from Quebec. The wait for food was a bit long but it was worth it. Quite enjoyable. Will be back.
Great Gluten free burger, good quality fries and a decent milkshake. Has outdoor sitting in the summer which is also a huge plus. The girlfriend enjoyed the fish and chips(bigger portion then expected.) I'll definitely be back.
ok the best poutine ever!! you must visit to try. Offering a variety of poutine, burgers and Rays special a must.
So nice!! The people were very friendly and had things for kids which left me surprised and impressed! They gave my kid a popsicle and she was so happy. Really enjoyed the Albertan Poutine.
Best poutine I've eaten out west. Burger was mediocre frozen filler burger. Fries here are the best!
Might have been pretty good...if it had actually been cooked. Growing up in a tiny village in southern Manitoba, there had been a family who operated a roadside diner of sorts in their backyard. Everything was homemade, oversized and tasty. This is the opposite of that. The fries were uncooked mush (the kind where you can't pick up a fry without it bending over and falling apart on you). See photo for the miniscule slivers of lettuce on my chicken burger. My wife took two bites of her vegan burger and left the rest. Total mush. $6.49 for a tiny milkshake that was essentially very cold chocolate milk (I'm pretty sure there was no ice cream in it). The kids operating the place were great, shy but friendly. A little nervous maybe as it seemed someone had just left them on their own without much training. But the food: just warmed up mush.
This is what we got here for 32 and change plus tip. Sweet potato fries were okay, if there had been interesting seasonings available, might have been okay, or even dipping sauce included. The burger was absolutely tiny and flat, and for $12.99??? Honestly trying to support small independent busness here, but next we will go to the Canadian Brewhouse or Original Joe's where we will get a decent size burger and sauce included for fries for close to that price.
The owner is always there greeting his customers and all staff had smiles on their face, I mentioned that it was cool to see a business that started in the pandemic and has clearly had an uphill battle but came out with a awesome establishment and great food, to top everything off my friend noticed this picture while waiting for our food super inspiring, love this place

Delish! The best poutine I’ve had in Alberta. Real curd, great gravy and fries cooked to perfection, with quick friendly service.Montreal Smoked Meat Poutine ??
Albertan Poutine was great. Lovely to find something gluten free! Could have had a bit more meat on it but the fries and sauce were excellent. The owner seems like a really sweet good natured fellow.Gave out mini ice cream sundaes to those in the shop while I was there!
Best Poutine in Sherwood Park. The owner Ray is often around and jovial. Pop in and say ?.
Shack A Patate is the closest you'll come to traditional Quebec chip wagon poutine this side of the prairies. It's delicious!!The staff are extremely polite, and Ray (the owner) is very personable, shows pride in ownership, and takes great care in listening to the feedback from his customers.I cannot recommend this establishment enough, please do yourself a favour and eat here!! I hope he does decide to franchise, preferably on the west side of Edmonton (or in Spruce Grove!) Worth the drive no matter what part of the city you live in.
Trying to find gluten free fast food is always tough for myself, so my girlfriend and I were so happy to find this place! Similarly priced to other fast food places but tastes even better. Gluten free bun was awesome, just wished more sauce on my burger. The poutine tasted great, the large was way bigger than I thought it would be. The milkshake was blew me away. Overall fantastic, to make it even better the staff were very friendly. Happy to come back and support local, you'll be seeing us again soon!
