Was expecting typical truck stop food and that is precisely what we got.
The fish and chips, comprising frozen fish portions and frozen fries, were fair-sized portions. While not impressive, they were acceptable considering they were frozen.
Another member of our party ordered the special, an 8 oz prime rib. However, it was not prime rib; it was a New York cut. We are well-versed in cuts of beef, and this was definitely not prime rib. Furthermore, it was ordered rare, but it was well done. The New York steak cut lacked seasoning.
***UPDATE: In response to the manager or owner, we would like to clarify that we are proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English. We specifically mentioned prime rib because it was listed on the daily special board. Therefore, we question why it was written as prime rib if, in fact, you only offer rib eye steak. Had it been accurately written, this misunderstanding would have been avoided, as the guest does not care for that particular cut of beef. Moreover, it was not a rib eye steak, as claimed. ***
The mashed potatoes lacked flavor, but thankfully, there was gravy to compensate. However, the gravy was lumpy. The minestrone soup, which accompanied the special, was good.
The service was satisfactory, with our coffee cups being regularly refilled, and the menu was extensive.
The gas bar bathroom was clean, which is the reason for the two-star rating. Nevertheless, we left feeling disappointed.

The restaurant has decent food at a decent price, but if you aren't a native with a treaty card and need cigarettes, then you can't get them here. This feels like discrimination for those who aren't native and drive a truck. Now, if we are on a reset, we have to spend way more money to take a cab or Uber to find a different store. Or walk for a long time to get to a store.
I may have been here as a child, that was the feeling I got after sitting down.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch. Shared a Beef Dip with Fries, plus Onion Rings. Way more good than we could eat. The beef was amazing. The Au jus was pro the best I’ve ever had. Service extremely friendly and efficient. Price under $30. We will be back.

Small buffet, but one of the few places with a smoking lounge. Serves Chinese food for breakfast. Don't expect too much, price was ok.
