We bought a teen burger meal and a kids meal through the drive through. As we were leaving i noticed the fries are cold - not even warm, just cold. So I asked them to give me fresh fries. Let mw tell you that their fries smell like burnt oil. We couldn't even eat them. I really hope this a&w gets closed down. They are the worst and can't compare to any other a&w

My family and I visited this location on Saturday, November 22, 2025. We ordered two Mama Burger meals with sweet potato fries and a Buddy Burger meal with chocolate milk. After being asked to pull up and wait, we waited about 10–15 minutes (around 2 PM, when it wasn’t very busy, but we noticed they moved every car in the drive thru to wait at the front to wait? ). When we got home, we noticed a few issues: the chipotle sauce for the fries was missing, one Mama Burger had an extra patty, there were no straws for the drinks, and my son’s chocolate milk wasn’t included. The fries were also cold, which was disappointing given the wait time. I reached out to head office and received an apology email, but nothing further, which was frustrating since we spent $30 and didn’t receive everything we paid for. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future customers.

Very slow in the drive thru, unfriendly service as if the employee couldn't handle the lunch rush (5 vehicles) or simply didn't want too. My napkins were bunched up like they were already used. The food was poor quality, cold and was clearly sitting in a bag for a minimum of 10 minutes. The ketchup on the burger was soaked into the bun and my fries were cold and overcooked. The oil in the fryer needs to be changed. I'll never return to this location or recommend it to anyone.

I bought a Mama Burger combo and a Teen Burger combo on July 30th. When I got home, I checked my Mama Burger to make sure there were no onions on it. Sometimes they put them on. No big deal. It’s a preference, not dietary.
When I opened my burger, I notice what looked like two bites taken out of the patty before the burger was assembled.
Dumbfounded, I called the store and spoke to a supervisor. He offered to have a new burger made. I told him I could not eat from there again and possibly never will as I will always now have suspicion that my food will be tampered with. He said that I could come in later and that my order could be refunded. I was ok with that.
We didn’t eat any of the food. I couldn’t even drink the root beer!
I went in the next day and the supervisor I chatted to (different one) said that they had talked about it and the manager/store owner said that I had to bring in the food to get a refund. All they could do was make new food. Again I said that I couldn’t eat from there again. She called the manager and they offered to refund one meal or about $15.00. I took it because I wasn’t going to yell and fight with store staff. My issue now is with management.
I submitted a complaint form last week with A&W corporate to complain and STILL haven’t heard back from them.
It seems like they respond to online complaints so here I am.
Just an unhappy customer that’s had their food tampered with and been jerked around and left ignored trying to get a response from someone at A&W that cares about food safety and cleanliness.
Hope to hear something!

The person in the night is like sleeping. Asked for a combo didn’t even ask what i want for the combo just kept sayin drive up.. and took soooo long to deliver the order. 😑😑
10/10 Service on a Wednesday night at 10:30pm, my truck got stuck and wouldn't start in the drive thru, the employees helped me get it going lickity-split and kept business moving!

The staff member working was really friendly, which I appreciated. However only three stars because, unfortunately, they forgot to include the fries that came with the combo I ordered today.
I didn’t notice until I got home, and it wasn’t worth the drive back just for fries, so I took the L. A bit disappointing, but hopefully just a one-off mistake.

We are super impressed by this St.Albert- A&W location. The service, food and overall customer service that we received from Kuldeep and the Kitchen staff was impeccable !!!They were very accommodating and most of all had a very kind and helpful attitude!
