Restaurant was referred to me. Food was very poor quality. Beef didn’t taste like beef?? 2 people complained about small bones in the chicken. Chicken balls tasted freezer burnt or old oil. I should have noticed the red flag when they said the food would be ready in 15 mins.

I made an order on a busy day, and they told me ahead of time it may take an hour for pick up, I told them I was fine with that and I went there on time, I expected to wait maybe a little bit more, because I know it was a busy day. But I was surprised my order already ready when I went there and the staff there was very friendly and nice, I really appreciated it.And they told me that maybe next time I should make a pre-order so I don’t need to wait for a long time, definitely would come back again, food is yummy and a big portion, thanks Asian connection!

Food is good portion and tasty, price is reasonable. Take out order usually takes 15 mins when is not busy.Staff are nice and welcoming, I usually go with my friends and family there, and they love it as well.

Used to be my family’s favourite Chinese food but it has gone downhill big time under the new ownership. I wish they would bring back the quality and the old recipes that made this restaurant so amazing :(

Have eaten here a few more times. They make some very good dishes like the ginger beef, the Venichelli bowl with mixed meat, wonton soup and beef and brocolli. Have now also tried the salt and pepper shrimp and dry garlic ribs, both very much over battered and a bit on the bland side flavour wise. The Peking pork chops were also bland. The selection of gluten-free dishes is quite limited. Portion size and price are very good and the service is very friendly. I go back for the dishes they do really well and just don't order the ones I like less.
Jan 4th 2025. First time eating here. Very impressed. Had the 15 dollar lunch Combo. Soup or an egg roll, steamed rice, and a main. Good amount of food, could not quite finish the steamed rice and ginger beef I ordered. Beef was crispy, soft inside, and nice flavour. You can get fried rice for 1 dollar more.
It was not fancy, but it was nice and clean, and the server was very friendly.
I think the reason food is still a very fair price here is they haven't fallen for the rip-off by the places like Skip and Doordash that take 40% of the total tab off the restaurant. These delivery services are 70% of the cause of the rapid escalation in most restaurant prices. I won't eat anywhere that uses Skip, Uber, or Doordash because, as a dine in client, I do not want to subsidize the outrageous delivery costs.

Charged us for deep fried wontons and rice, never got either in our order. When we tried to rectify this we got called liars. Food is quite tasty tho! You can actually taste their properly seasoned wok. Just wish they hadn’t been so rude :/

Went above and beyond for our family on Christmas Eve to help us bring wonton soup to a very hungry mom-to-be - the staff was lovely and the food is always delicious. Our favourite place in St. Albert for a reason!
