I arrived to try Dinner Factory. A family member had given me a $150 gift card a couple of years ago, and I hadn't used it. They refused to honour it because they said the business had been sold to new owners. I walked out, and I definitely will not be back.

I regret to have to leave a negative review but my experience with The Dinner Factory has been most unsatisfactory. Despite being a supporter of local businesses, I have encountered issues with my orders and customer service.

I placed an order on May 23rd, to be picked up June 1. However, due to menu changes, I received an email stating some of my selections were unavailable. I emailed the company and requested a call back to resolve the issue, but I never received a response. I called the company and was told that the owner would contact me, but I never heard back.

I called again the next week and was assured that order would ne refunded, so I placed a second order to be picked up June 15th. However to my dismay, when I arrived at the store, it was locked and there was no notification of a flood that had occurred earlier that week. I have sent several emails and have not received a reply. I did receive an email from PayPal stating that a refund had been issued, but after 72 hours the money has not been returned to either myself or my partner. I would appreciate it if the owner of The Dinner Factory would take responsibility and provide a refund. This experience has been frustrating and time-consuming, and I hope that in the future, this type of situation will be handled more professionally.

Apparently, they have switched owners and will not honor an online gift card which says "NEVER EXPIRES". I was trying to order online and said it expires. So if you have any gift cards given to you before September of 2022, you ware out of luck. This was given to me by my work family when my mom passed away and finally had the chance to look into it to order online.Needless to say, $110 of free money into their pocket.

Warning! Switched ownership between Oct and Dec 2022. Today, I called the store asking for help regarding an order I was trying to place using an instore gift card. I was told the owner would get back to me if I sent her an email with my number. I waited a few hours but I wanted to place the order today, so I drove in person and entered the store. As I walked in, the phone rang. The employee left what she was doing to answer. Midway through her call she asked me what I needed, "Looking for service, " I said. She told me she was on the phone. I said, "I see that" and she went back to her call. I waited for several minutes. When she was done, I tried to explain my frustration in trying to redeem a gift card that was held in the store. I told her I was home from work sick today which is why I was trying to get this done, and it was then she turned on me, asking me to remove myself from the store. "I don't appreciate you coming in here when you say you are sick!" she exclaimed. A second person came out from the back and said, "You should be wearing a mask". They went on..."You're spreading your germs, I can't believe you came here when you are sick and admitting it openly..." I was so in shock by being blasted by these two, all I could say was, "Really?? This is how you treat your customers?" (Last I checked, cramps and migraines were not contagious but does make it impossible to do my job). They assumed I walked in with covid, I guess. Being home "sick from work" doesn't mean I am being an irresponsible citizen but they were ganging up on me at this point so I just asked for a refund of the money that the kind person spent for us, and the response: "And as for a refund, I'm not going to give you someone else's money. The store has new owners now and the gift card was made under the previous ownership. " I was in disbelief over how she continued to berate me, basically, kicking me out of the store. All I wanted was to order a beef brisket and a rhubarb crisp for the weekend and my day ended up like that. As a customer service specialist myself for several years, I have dealt with a lot of upset customers, mentally ill ones, drunk ones, rude ones, and yes, even sick ones, yet rule number one, professionalism first above all else. Her response to my complaints today was enough for me to swear off this company forever. I have lost my appetite. Now, sadly, I need to tell my friend her money just went down the tubes under the new owners.

I have been going to the Dinner Factory since it opened its doors and have always been happy with the meals and the service. Under new management everything has gone downhill. I ordered 3 meals and each one was messed up. Instructions were not included and some ingredients were missing. When I called the new owner said she would give me a coupon. I called to see when I could get it but the new owner never returned my calls. I called one morning and she said she was making up my meal as we spoke. We came 3 hours later to find she hadn't even started. I won't be going back. Such a shame to see such a great place turn out like this. For the owners sake I hope she can straighten this out.

I miss Dinner Factory. Delicious meals and oh-so easy to prep. Everything pre-cut, items set out in the order you need them with the measure you need. Leave out what you don't like, e.g. hot sauce. I've made twelve dinners in an hour, taken them home and thrown them in the freezer. Super simple to finish when you are ready for them. Cost is no more than the grocery store, but the prep work is done.Sadly, I moved from Alberta. No DF where I am now.

I am a New Customer to the Dinner Factory, and I am so pleased and extremely happy, that I discovered this wonderful place. I get Healthy Fresh meals that I take home and cook. The meals are offered in small or large sizes and are perfect for my nightly dinner plans. Super easy to prepare, everything you need for the meal is in the bag and all the instructions are included. Ed and Kim are so passionate about their business, and it shows in the delicious meals that they prepare and excellent customer service. If you want to try something new for supper, order from The Dinner Factory. You will not be disappointed. They are a Five Star Meal Service.

It was my first time ordering online and then going in to assemble everything. The location is convenient, easy to find with lots of parking. It took awhile to get used to the assembly system but the lady was very nice and gave some pointers and answered all my questions. It took about an hour to assemble two large meals and four smaller ones. They provide everything and all the measuring cups and spoons are easy to find. Thank you for a fun experience.
