I haven’t been to an ESM since living in Ontario 6 years ago. It isn’t as good as I remember and was a definite letdown. Prices are pretty good but the food is just sort of meh. The tomato soup was basically Campbells. Salad was bland. Bread was meh. Won’t go back, sad days.

I’d of given this place 5 stars, however the music was too loud. My friend and I haven’t seen each other in years and decided to meet at this restaurant as she was told the food was good. We came in and we’re greeted out the door by a nice gentleman and we were seated. The atmosphere was nice lots to look at, however we could not hear each other speak. We had already ordered a beverage. Otherwise we would have left so we decided to eat. She never ate her meal. She just had a bite of her chicken Parm. I had, a bowl of spaghetti with spicy sauce. It was very tasty but small. Also, I had a problem with my water glass as it was plastic. Given the prices in this restaurant, I would expect to be served water out of an actual glass and not plastic. I did not drink it as plastic is porous and holds germs. It was like being at a children’s restaurant. I found this just cheapened the place.Our server was very attentive and I give her five stars, but I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they like to yell over their food. If I ever eat here again, it will be take out, which is sad because I really would’ve liked to of stayed awhile. Also, there is only one handicap parking spot, and the sidewalk leading up to the front door is very uneven. My friend has mobility issues and it was difficult for her to get to the front door. The sidewalk needs work. It’s very narrow and lots of cracks and broken bits. I don’t recommend it if you are wheelchair-bound or walk with a caneVegetarian options: Not much for plant based dining.

Was surprising busy on a Friday at 5 pm, but only had to wait maybe 5 minutes for a table in the dining room. My server, Leah, was attentive and incredibly sweet, even though she had a full section. I didn’t need to wait long at all for my drink, bread, salad, or meal. Steak was cooked perfectly. My only issue was that the meal came on a dish that was damaged on the corner, and I ended up taking a small chunk of my thumb out. Leah informed the manager, and he quickly brought me some bandaids and helped me with them. He was so sweet about it, and it wasn’t even that bad. It barely bled, it just stung a bit. I didn’t make a fuss at all, as it just something kinda random that happens sometimes and was no one’s fault, really. Maybe shouldn’t be serving on damaged dishes, but again, not a huge deal, and more than likely just an oversight, not a common thing. They took care of my meal without even a suggestion or request for a discount on my part. I had full intention on paying full price. I felt bad because I didn’t have any paper money to tip, so I handed poor Leah a handful of coins as it’s all I had. I am so impressed with my entire experience, and I will absolutely return. It was my first time there, and I’m rarely so impressed by a visit to a family style restaurant. I wish I got the managers name so I could thank him by name.. so if you’re reading this.. thank you so much for your kindness and professionalism. And Leah.. you’re an incredible server, you clearly love your job. Thank you for being such a peanut! I will absolutely request your section whenever I come back, you were such a joy!

It is a well regarded restaurant and we expected a very good experience. We were given a buzzer and told to wait without any timeframe given. When I asked they had already moved on to the next person and said they would get back to me but never did. Upon being seated my grandma who was 88 was told to use the bar code to see the nutritional ingredients navigate her allergies because the waitress did not wish to go back and forth. My grandma had no iPhone and no concept of how. Our family obviously helped her but the impatience of the waitress and her lack of familiarity with the me. And unwillingness to help us or make recommendations was disappointing. My meal was good but the person with the allergy was so nervous they just had a salad. We might go back again but we would never take my grandmother or anyone with an allergyKid-friendliness: Good menu for kids

Came here for to celebrate my late father’s birthday as he used to work at another location before he passed. Our server didn’t smile wasn’t attentive at all our drinks were empty for over half of the service, just overall seemed like she was having a bad day and didn’t want to be working, definitely not the east side that i remember coming to as a kid. The food was good and came out timely for the size of our group and for how busy it was so that was a plus, server training could use a refresher though.

Great food, great service but like most restaurants these days, very noisy. Loud music blasting rap and to 50 of 2024. It would be nice if they actually played Italian music to help the atmosphere. But meh still a fantastic place for good food and great service
