My friend and I were at Original Joe's in early May of this year for lunch. We had just ordered our food when my friend lost consciousness at the table. Another customer and I supported her and I asked the waitress to call an ambulance. She immediately called one and we had 3 members of the staff at the table helping us. The ambulance came and evaluated her over about 20 minutes (she had regained conciousness). They then brought in a stretcher and we were taking her out of the restaurant to the ambulance. As we passed the kitchen the chef walked out and handed me a brown paper bag with the food we had ordered. I thanked him and said that I would have to square up with him later. He replied no, it was on the house.
I was so impressed with how the staff responded to this event and was completely over whelmed by the kindness of the chef in getting the food to us. We were in ER for a considerable length of time and having the food there made it so much better.
A great big thanks to the staff at Original Joe's - so profesional, responsive, helpful, and kind. I cannot say enough about my experience there!!
Our server was new and fun(bill says Amber not sure if that was her or who was training with her ) great job!
Staff were nice, friendly and quick to take orders and bring foods.
I was disappointed with the quality of foods, and I am taking about a simple burger and fries and salad!
I honestly could get a better meal at Wendy’s, DQ and such.
Burger had no taste, burnt and cold!
I would only recommend this location for a good drink, socializing and watching a game of hockey.
A bit pricy but very very tasty! I often visit this OJ's!
Update 28APR2025, came in for a Guinness and Jack Danials BBQ burger, the bun was burnt on both half's, patato Fry's smelt like fish, sent back to kitchen, came back in 1 min with a new bun top, bottom bun was still burnt. If you're taking shortcuts like that what else are they taking shortcuts on. very disappointing unfortunately this was such a great place years ago. $22.50 for bad food. I still recommend Calmar Burger Baron.
Menu has changed, buggers were not as ordered, then gave back cold sides. Yack. For a $17. 00 bugger you expect fresh, not cold and looks better than McDonald's.
Great deals.. friendly staff
A great variety of options both for food and drinks.
Ordered the $7 gyoza for happy hour (even pointed to the option on the happy hour menu) and was charged for the bigger gyoza that was not on the happy hour menu. When I brought it up with our waitress, she went back to change it, but as it was now past happy hour, she could only change it to $10. A gyoza piece also had a hair on it. Ridiculous being overcharged when I very clearly ordered from the happy hour menu and then the food even comes out with a hair on it. Wouldn’t recommend.
My review got removed somehow.
Not sure if management changed but very unprofessional treatments of customers.
Excellent service and food, the place was busy, and very efficient, didn’t have to wait long for service, super friendly staff.

Great place to catch the game.
Always great!
Surprisingly decent food for original Joe's. Usually I have bad experiences with this chain, but food was really good quality
Service was awesome. Food was mediocre at best. My burger tasted like it was cooked 3 hrs earlier then reheated in a microwave.
We love Original Joes in St Albert !
