The food was pretty decent and they were able to accommodate for a gluten allergy, but honestly, from the moment we arrived the service was poor. We walked in and nobody was there to greet us or show us to our seats even though we made a reservation. We ended standing and waiting for a while until the waiter asked if we had been helped. For the whole evening our waitress took quite a bit of time to get to us and it wasn’t busy. This was also for my husbands birthday which I had included on OpenTable but they didn’t ask if we were in for a special occasion or anything. We had to directly ask for the bill because we had to leave to another engagement and they didn’t come back, after 10 minutes of waiting we just got up to pay at the bar. Typically this kind of experience is fine, but for the prices you pay, I would expect better service.

1. Quiet, cozy and romantic restaurant. 2. Food is 10 out of 10. We.started with mushroom bruschetta and spicy prawns and back bacon. Then we had the strip loin steak cooked medium. It was juicy, flavorful and cooked to perfection. 3. The quality of food is worth the price. We will be back.

Food was great. Very delicious. I made reservations and when we arrived we were seated in the lounge. I was expecting a table in the dining room. Our table was small and the chairs were made of plastic. No cushions and quite uncomfortable. They reminded me of plastic patio chairs. There were 4 of us. The lounge was quite noisy and tables are close together.

I can't tell you if the food is good, but the service is absolutely terrible. I called multiple times to make a reservation but no one ever answes. The voice mail greeting says to leave name and number for reservation so that's exactly what I did, a full day in advance. Never got a call back so to be sure, I called again before going on the day of. No answer again. Upon arrival there's a wedding on the dining side, and the lounge side has no record of our reservation. We drove 40 minutes from Edmonton to be turned away. The least you can do is return the call to let us know you can't accommodate our party.

This restaurant is a gem. Small menu, fresh food, superb taste, and great value. Food is presented beautifully and is hot. The mushroom soup and the beet salads are fantastic. Pasta dishes are nicely proportioned, chicken is great, schnitzel is perfectly done, and the accompanying fries are sublime. The wine list is limited but aligns perfectly with the menu. All in all, it's hard to beat in St. Albert.
