We've only been here once so far, but will definitely return. Everything was wonderful. Food was excellent and clearly made with great care. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, but still ideal for a special occasion.

We made Reservation earlier in the Day for 4 adults on a Saturday evening. Once we arrived we were seated on the Lounge side of the Restaurant. Our waitress was friendly but took a while to arrive at our table, so the service was very slow and remained that way all evening.
We ordered 2 appetizers which were the Shrimp Cocktail and the Beef Carpaccio. The Beef tasted good but the Shrimp were not fresh and had an odd odour.
Our dinners were the Chicken, the 7 oz. Steaks and the Mushroom Pasta.
The Steaks($48) tasted very bland, the salad had no dressing, and the fries looked like McCain French Fries topped with Truffle Oil.
The Chicken dish ($35)was ok but the portion was ridiculously small. The Pasta dish ($26) contained 3 Mushrooms mixed amongst the Pasta, the taste was somewhat ok but the sauce was so thick it made it look like a blob stuck together on a plate.
The drinks, a Caesar and a Rye/Pepsi tasted very watered down for $14 each.
We choose no desserts.
All servings were terribly small for the price you paid, 3 out of 4 of us left hungry. The taste and appearance for a higher end class restaurant was below average.
We would never choose this Restaurant again.

We have eaten here a few times over the years. Latest visits included brunch earlier this year and dinner here the other night. Absolutely lovely atmosphere. Romantic atmosphere for quiet dinner with relaxing music.
The food was excellent. The wine selection was good. The price was very fair. Definitely recommended.
Parking: Parking is tight so getting out can be a challenge for some drivers. Definitely recommend backing into your stall.

Another lovely meal at the Riverbank Bistro. Atmosphere is wonderful; warm, friendly, and quiet. Servers Connor and Amanda were attentive and ensured we were completely happy with our choices. They are awesome at accommodating need for gluten free adjustments to the menu. I love this place.

We went for our anniversary dinner. I love their food there, as usual. I had salmon and my husband had bacon wrapped steak. The service was excellent. The only thing was the dessert was very disappointing for me but my husband liked his creme brulee. I had the calebeut chocolate cake when they brought it out it looked exactly like muffin with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. It tasted exactly like it too as the texture of the cake was a dry muffin. It was supposed to have white chocolate ganache that I could not notice anywhere but the server said it was in the cake. Did it melt when they heated the cake? Not sure. I hope they make changes to their dessert cause that is my favorite part of going out. Anyways still overall food and service good.

We've been coming to the Riverbank for over 11 years and will definitely keep coming back. Excellent food & friendly and cheerful service. A small glitch with the delay in receiving our dessert but it was acknowledged, apologized for & we were compensated for it before we even had a chance to express our disappointment. Special thanks to Amanda.
10 stars for everything!! Seriously!! Dan and his team are so accommodating. We booked the lounge for our wedding supper. Price was reasonable. They gave us the most magical experience on our wedding! I can't rave enough about our experience here. Thank you Riverbank bistro team for everything you did for us!

We had a great experience at Riverbank Bistro. The service was awesome and speedy. The drinks were delicious and they had good selection of wine. We had the mushroom bruschetta, the schnitzel and the chicken and they were all delicious. We can’t wait to come back in the summer to enjoy the charming patio!

Great service! Loved the selection; we had the mushroom bruschetta, my husband had the schnitzel and I had the chicken and they were both outstanding. Tasty cocktails, great wine selection and a super interesting location. Overall it was a delight and we will be back!
It was our first time dining in this establishment and we were blown away. Our server was nothing but kind, attentive, friendly and when we had questions she had answers. The food was sinfully delicious! And beautifully plated. The atmosphere was cute and high end, the chandeliers were very classy, the bathroom even had amenities- a makeup mirror, lotion, tooth picks, and it was very clean. The chairs were also incredibly comfortable, especially for a pregnant women such as myself. And honestly for two of us, an appy to share, two main course and a shared dessert with the one drink my husband had - it wasn't all that badly priced and well worth the money to go. 5/5.
The menu had a full, but not too long, list of selections. Our server, Susan, was knowledgeable, helpful, and charming. We asked about children's choices and learned there were a couple not listed on the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious and presented nicely. Even the washrooms were lovely! It was a wonderful place to dine. I highly recommend it. We will be back next time we come from Saskatoon to St Albert.
