I absolutely love this restaurant! Don’t understand the very few complaints about service? Outstanding food takes time to prepare! Have a plane to catch? Try the food court at the airport. We love to call this restaurant our local gem.

Make a reservation. It is a beauty of a place. But is on the smaller style. Right on the ocean. The service was wonderful.

If you deep fry Salmon, you have no business calling yourself a seafood restaurant. If you cook Scallops until they are a rubber ball, you have no business calling yourself a seafood restaurant. If you pair Havarti Cheese with Lobster, you have no business calling yourself a seafood restaurant. If you serve East Coast Lobster while you are literally on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, you have no business calling yourself a seafood restaurant. If you bring in per-breaded frozen calamari, you have no business calling yourself a seafood restaurant. If you are literally right down the road from some of the most famous oysters in the world and you don't even bother putting them on your menu, you have no business calling yourself a seafood restaurant. But besides all that, nothing had any unique qualities. No personality. No uniqueness. It tasted like any bland pub in any city without anything to make it stand apart. Basically, this place was like a rando with money decided to buy a restaurant and play Chef without any formal training. And the flavour and execution of the dishes reflected that. It was a meal I would expect at a seafood-themed chain restaurant in the middle of the prairies. It wasn't gross. It just wasn't good in any way. So if you have low expectations and low standards then you probably will think this place is great. P.S. "a la mode" doesn't mean topped with ice cream. But it's cute you think it does. Kind of like a little kid playing ice cream store.

What an awesome place to eat! The view was spectacular, the food was amazing and the service was excellent! Best seafood chowder ever, the oysters were huge and delicious, the halibut was coated perfectly and the small touches, like iced tea made from scratch and homemade gravy and coleslaw just made the meal that much more! We will definitely go back!

We only happened upon this hidden gem as a result of staying at the Airbnb upstairs which has also been wonderful. Our food exceeded our high hopes for quality and value. Wow, seriously. Even though we were just getting take out the service was great too. Definitely will return when in the area or passing by.

Their website boasts ‘great staff and friendly faces’. I’ve come here twice and both times I encountered the same grumpy, old front desk lady. Never acknowledges, makes any eye contact, or says hi to greet customers. First visit I let it slide as we all have bad days. 2nd visit was no coincidence. You can tell she hates her job. Not exactly the face you want fronting for your company. I politely asked to place an order for take out and she glared at me for interrupting her behind the counter. For future take out customers, call in to order (assuming they answer). If they are too busy they will not do take out. Save you the drive here just in case. Business must be too good for additional paying customers. At the very least put a sign at the window, counter or at the entrance to let folks know. Won’t be driving back here anymore. It’s too bad as I’ve been told the food is good.

Called and was told they only take reservations for 4 or more...was also told if we came by 5 they would fit us in. Went there, walked in , said hi and 3 people behind the till said nothing. When someone finally acknowledged us, they told us they were full. I explained that I called ahead and all 3 of them said they did not take a call. Then we were begrudgingly given a table, with no menu and then told they would try to get to us in 30 minutes or so. Needless to say, we left. We tried to get back the $100 gift certificate money as we have NO intention of going back but we were told no. Do NOT waste your time. I get being busy but use kindness to communicate. It costs NOTHING
