I went here with my boyfriend and parents for my birthday. Wasn’t sure what I was expecting when going here at first. It is a very cozy, living room like feel to it. With couches and coffee tables. It is also quite small. To be honest I was a bit taken back at first, never been to a place like this before! But our waitress/bartender made us feel very welcome and at home. The experience was fun and comfortable and she even gave me a birthday shot! the food was all very delicious too!We will be coming back here for sure! Especially in the summer when we can ride our bikes here and hang out in the patio!

Hidden gem! From the looks of the place you don't expect much but what you get totally exceeeds expectations. Enjoyable food, wonderful service and a completly relaxed unpretentious atmosphere. The kind of business that a neighbourhood should rally around. Way to go Garage! Thanks to Tony for making our evening great. Looking forward to coming back to enjoy some live music!

Cut little place. Can't beat a $5 glass of wine. It's too far for me to frequent, but will make the drive when the entertainment is good.

What a fantastic little place! The food is great (it's always fresh), and the staff all make you feel like you're part of the family. I highly recommend it.

Awesome little hidden bar tucked away in a commercial zone in St. Albert. Friendly service, decent food, and a very welcoming atmosphere.

We decided to check out The Garage yesterday after work and we had a great time. I love that this spot is so NOT St Albert and gives you a different option than the 7000 Irish pubs on St Albert Trail. There was a lady on stage playing some solo acoustic music, her catalog of songs was all over the map and she added a ton to the early evening ambiance. Our waitress Amy was fantastic. We had appies and drinks... the food we had was standard pub fare, but I was happy to see they support local and had Endeavour beer as an option (no taps, just bottles and cans here). Heather had a couple of White Claws. Prices were more than reasonable and it was just a fun way to start the evening. I don't see this place scoring points with the pretentious crowd in St Albert, but folks that love live music and dive bars will like it just fine! HUGE bonus points for them having the old Bruin Inn sign on the walls. That's some nostalgia right there!

It was a few months ago that I visited and will again fairly soon, but when I read the review of the bun falling apart I had to say that was one thing I distinctly remember of the meal is the bun! It was NOT so chewy that you couldn't chew the sandwich. It was just right, held together well. The meal was very good!

Zero stars. Stopped in with a friend while killing time for a wedding. Waited at our table for 10 mins, the waiter/bartender never asked us if we wanted drinks let alone acknowledge us by saying he'd be right back. As we were sitting there we waiting we watched him bring a pail of ice for the tub behind the bar then make drinks for a couple sitting at another table. My friend and I never thought much of it. As we were waiting for couple more friends to join we looked over and the waiter/bartender was finishing up making a caesar for the couple and instead of using a fork or tongs to get the asparagus from the jar he just put his hand in grabbed one and tossed it in the caesar . Friend and I up and left. Place is run down, dirty and just awful. I'd say convert it back to a garage, but I haven't worked or been to a garage as sad as this place.

I was here a few months ago. You walk in and immediately see the kitchen stall preparing meals without wearing masks. I remember sitting on the patio and half the patrons are smoking cigarettes. I got a burger. It arrived on a paper plate. The burger was good and prepared well, the bun was flaky and fell apart easily. Overall the amount of smoking was enough to turn me away and not want to come back. I can’t believe nothing was said by the manager. If health services walk in that day I’m sure they would have been just as surprised as me.

The Garage is a lively pub, with a unique personality of it's own, just like many of it's patrons. The staff is friendly and very good at their jobs. The owner approached me, introduced himself, and made me feel very welcome. It's privately owned so if you like supporting local businesses then this place is perfect for you. The prices are incredible, and the live music is great! It has a spacious inside and a nice sized patio making it a very comfortable place to have some drinks. I highly recommend this fine establishment!!
