The sushi rolls are mediocre. I didn’t try anything else but I would rather not. $11 for the California roll is a bit pricey for the poor quality. The service was fast and the guy working at the time was polite. No more Tokyo Express for me that’s for sure.

Yikes, what a disappointment. I used to come here years ago but moved back to Edmonton. Was in st Albert So my boyfriend and I decided to check it out here for a quick bite.
That quick bite turned into a 40 minute wait. The curry chicken was tasteless, the rice was so over cooked it was almost inedible. My boyfriend's beef bowl had such bad quality meat....it looked almost grey and even the sauce couldn't save it. We spent $50 and we only ate the rainbow roll (which was decent). What a waste of a meal

We grabbed a bite later at night, and while the food was good, the restaurant looks like it needs a good thorough clean. I'm a bit disappointed to see how small tbe portions have gotten, but the prices keel increasing. I have liked this place for years but it's certainly not like it used to be.

Food quality has greatly decreased. Now charging for bags on to-go orders, which is kind of a whatever issue except that they hand you a container with sauce slopped on the side. Not really impressed when I have to clean my containers before putting it bagless into my car. Used to be a fan but now not so much.
Tokyo Express is one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve ever visited here in St. Albert. The staff is incredibly friendly and provides excellent customer service, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The prawn tempura is absolutely delicious, MY FAVOURITE — crispy, light, and full of flavor. I highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for authentic Japanese cuisine with top-notch service. ?

Worst food quality on the market. Went to get a crispy Mexican roll ask the food to go end up eating at the restaurant. The box had a napkin to catch all the “recycling” oil and the oil taste was gross. Waited till there were no customers at front and brought the matter to their attention. They didn’t even bother in ask if the could offer something different instead I walked out left the “food” behind. Not a place I would recommend at all.
