This is a weird review to write, becuse I genuinely did enjoy my meal, and the experience as a whole at Sorrentinos. The service was great, the atmosphere was great, the appetizers were great, but I had some issues with the main and cocktails.

I had the risotto special, a parmesan risotto with spare ribs and chili sauce, which was tasty and a fantastic special, on paper. The issue I had with it was that the ribs and the chili sauce were obviously not made in house, and were likely just basic off-the-shelf items from Sysco or GFS. I have no problem in general with restaurants using products from these companies, but the vibe that the sorrentinos group leans on is that they are high quality, higher end Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, which by definition requires fresh and high quality ingredients. Everyone else's food looked like it was made with a lot more care and attention than my special. I have no choice but to wonder how much of the menu comes in frozen and is reheated.

My cocktail also seemed to be a bit of a cop-out. I had the cherry old fashioned, which uses a bit of cherry syrup in place of a maraschino cherry. It was tasty, and better than many other old fashioneds I've tried, but using cherry syrup instead of demerara sugar and an actual cherry is just a sign of laziness in my opinion.

The prawn and calamari anti pasto dish was delicious! The chicken scallopini was ok. The restaurant was so hot tonight I had to get dessert to go but still I have to go here every year for my birthday. Never disappoints.

Tipping nightmare. we tipped our waitress $45 there were 6 of us and she rolled her eyes at us and said were you not happy with my service. she was so rude to us about it not being enough. The service was incredibly slow to even get our orders taken it took over 40 mins. Once food was ordered it did not take long and the food was phenomenal, everything we ordered was so delicious.

Great service, food is always good. Go to Sunday lunch spot.

Thank you Sorrentinos for the wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Service was amazing. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we are thankful for the time we got to spend without having to do all the work! From all of us at the table of 13 :-)

Not lots around our tiny lil' town... However this is our GO-TO every. single. time we go anywhere local to eat. Frequenting 1-2 times per week sometimes! Every time we have great fresh food and wine. The service is great every time and the acknowledgment from staff of being there again is welcoming and adds to the atmosphere :) My fav is the Bolognese and red CAB SAV... Keep up the good work Sorrentinos

We chose Sorrentino's Stony Plain as our caterer for our wedding this August(2024) - and I can't recommend them enough! Our guests are still talking about how good the food was. We had more food options than any other caterer offered, for a lower cost, and the food was hot and fresh. Their service really exceeded our expectations starting with our communications with Glenn when booking to their onsite team that completed a flawless service on our wedding day.

I've worked as a chef for 9 years so I always have high expectations with my food experience and from the second I walked in the door I was in aw and the amount of traditional menu items made with local ingredients turned me into a regular here. Between the design, to the menu to the staff members it is always so delicious. And everything was so clean from the dining room and bar all the way to the bathroom. Would 10/10 recommend this to anyone of my family or friends

The worst and inhuman act I experience yesterday at this restaurant.
I worked as an Amazon delivery driver and I need to use the washroom in my break time.
And 7 eleven washroom that was just across the street was out of order.
So I just look around and found this so called fine dine restaurant.
I politily ask the person who was setting in bar area with his laptop and all the paper around. "Is it ok to use the washroom" and he just stated hushing me like as I am some cattle to him .such a shameful act from that uneducated person.
He continuously try to say no to me for using washroom.
And said me go get out and use 7 eleven washroom.
Just because I was in my work clothes doesn't mean I am less than any human.that man seriously need to learn some ethics and moral.

Hopefully his wife our daughter never had to experience the same what I faced just to😞 seek permission to use washroom.

We love Sorrentino's! Makayla was our server. She is always friendly and happy. She's efficient and listened to our request of waiting for our dinner to be served a bit later. It was a busy night but that didn't affect our dining experience. Thank you!

We had my mother in laws birthday there. As we live SW of Calgary, Glen was amazing with helping for the reservation. He was attentive and helpful with making sure everything was easy. Our server went above and beyond especially with the age range of 9 months to 82. Our food was superb and the evening was perfect. Thank you so much for making it easy, memorable and perfect.
