“The Saffron Bistro is a surprisingly delightful find tucked away in downtown Strathmore. The aromatic spices tantalize the senses and trigger a rather Pavlovian response. The people are friendly and glad to explain anything on the menu. And the menu, I love it! We had the difficult task of deciding amongst this blend of classic and unique with vegan and many gluten free options. The gluten free diners will love the selection. Finally not just salad for us. Some dishes are quite saucey and can be made Indian hot or dialed down to something even an IBS gut can handle. Even without the hot spices, these meals are absolutely delicious. I couldn't wait to go back so I did a week later and took a friend who raved about it too. I tried some thing new and once again I was impressed and totally satisfied with the generous portions and heavenly savoury flavours. I will be back, the people are lovely and I want them to succeed so that I can keep eating there, selfish and generous at the same time I know. So if you are looking for a new favourite spot to dine choose Saffron Bistro in Strathmore Alberta, you'll be ordering extra to take home. They are just a short drive from Calgary and well worth the cruise. What a wonderful find, spread the word.“
