“On September 7th 2023 at 1:11 p.m. I ordered butter chicken and coconut rice and I asked if they can throw a couple of vegetables in. First time ordering from this place and damn it was delicious I can't wait to try some others food😋💕💕 I did not realize the portions were so big I guess I should have asked if they had half orders as it was only for one person but that's okay I have butter chicken for a few days yum yum.“

The décor of the place makes the ambiance even more enjoyable, and what can we say about the food? It exceeded our expectations; everything was delicious. “We recently hired Raj Palace to cater a party at our home for 40 guests, and they did an amazing job!
We ordered a variety of items, including appetizers, main dishes, and a live dosa station. Every single dish was freshly cooked, incredibly delicious, and loved by all of our guests. The portion sizes were extremely generous-there was more than enough food for everyone.
Live dosa station was a huge hit ! They stayed well beyond the expected time to make sure all guests were served. The ingredients were fresh, and the dosas were perfectly crispy.
Thank you to the Raj Palace team for their incredible food and exceptional service. We will definitely be recommending them to all our friends and family!“

“I was starving after the gym today and popped my head in pretty close to 9 pm and asked if they had and food ready that wouldn't dirty the kitchen. She immediately said come in come in you can order whatever you want no problem. Most places for SURE would have told me no.

So props to the wonderful woman working the closing shift on Mon Aug 10th!

Ive been here 3 times now and the food is always incredible and the place is spotless“

“To my Calgary foodies, authentic indian food lovers… this is it, the best place in the city. Saffron Street is a passion project from one of the head chefs/owner Jesse Mann at Moti Mahal and the passion really comes through in the food 🤤 Pav Bhaji was just incredible. The buns were the perfect match to the dish. The masala dosa was the best dosa my mother in law has ever had (she is a self proclaimed dosa expert), made fresh and worth the wait, the coconut chutney was DELICIOUS! Chole Bhaturay - flavourful, the Bhaturay were soft and cooked to perfection. Dhai Puri - layers of flavour packed into a bite size, crispy appetizer. Bonuses: the space is bright, clean, spacious and backs on to a green space with an inclusive playground that I enjoyed as much as my daughter. The bathroom is clean, sinks in each stall, and a speaker in each stall (my daughter had a dance party in there). The drinks: love the authentic drinks from India - I haven’t had limca in ages!!!“

“Sure bet to finish with a smile that lasts! This is as good as I have found here at home. One of only two East Indian restaurants in Calgary I'd ever take an out of town guest to, and that says a lot considering the number and quality that abounds here in that wonderful genre.“

“Try Butter Chicken , Lamb Madras Kadai Paneer Garlik Naan“

“Big thank you to Supreet at Chawlas Indian Restaurant in Cityscape! I needed to pick up a large order by 10:30 a.m. for a family get-together, even though the restaurant opens at 10:00. She came in early to make sure everything was ready on time, which I really appreciated.

The food was fresh, delicious, and everyone at our gathering loved it. Great customer service like this is hard to find. Thanks again, Supreet, for going the extra mile. We have been loyal customers for past couple years and Chawlas never disappoint!“

“Authentic makki roti and saag Amazing paranthe“

“Tried Taste of India during our trip to Calgary. Initially I did a take out and loved their tandoor roti and chicken tikka. The flavors were authentic to North Indian food and spice level was as requested.

We decided to visit as a family and tried their lunch, the food was cooked to perfection and most importantly it was flavorful. Their Tea is a must too.

For lunch we tried Tandoori Chicken, Goat curry , Veggie Hakka and Matter Panner

Wish we had such great food in WA, USA.“
