“By far the best Desi food ive had in Canada, id say.

The owner, Br. Ahmer, went above and beyond to make sure my family and I felt welcomed and at home - since we were visiting from Vancouver.

Rajas Grill is the spot you wanna go to for Desi breakfast as they have a wide variety of breakfast options and mouth watering and tender BBQ.

10/10 would still be an underdeserved rating. These guys deserve all the love they get.

“We had a celebratory breakfast at Raja Foods this weekend. Raja foods management helped us plan the event. A buffet was setup serving sumptuous Nihari, Payas, Chickpeas, Potatoes and Halwa. Puris and Naans were served fresh to our guests. This created a very memorable breakfast for our guests. One improvement would be to plan for garbage disposal for a gathering of this size.“

“We ordered as a company for our monthly appreciation lunch. The food was great. Everything I ordered was included. They did mention that their food is slightly spicier but did a pretty good job at making it milder. The only item that was on the spicier side were the beef seekh kababs (they did mention this to me prior, so we knew to expect this). The butter chicken was really great. They were generous with the food portions - we had plenty leftover. Overall, the staff really enjoyed the food. Service was exceptional!“

Being a foodie I can vouch for this restaurant to be hands down the BEST FOOD PROVIDERS in CALGARY that too with such LOW PRICES as compared to some other halal restaurants around the town . This is Literally the place that makes me feel like I am eating right at my mum’s house in Pakistan . Try out their , CHICKEN TIKKAS , SOUPS , BUNN KEBAB (ufff just like the university cafe in Pakistan ) , QEEMA WALY NAAN , NIHAARI , HALEEM 🤤, they even have Pakistani kulfiaan that we all crave here in Canada (don’t miss those ) , Junaid Bhai (the owner) himself is such a Meek , down to earth and professional person who knows exactly how to quality cook and respect his customers at the same time . “Service was okay kind of slow but understandable only 2 people working and they were taking their time to ensure the food is amazing. At the end even gave complimentary Gulab Jamun! My favorite was the Mango Lassi best I've ever had not too think perfect consistency. The platter was really good and atmosphere was really nice as well.“

“If ambience isn’t your priority and you’re simply looking for authentic Nihari, Haleem, and Kulfi Falooda, this is absolutely the place to go!

I’ll admit, when I first walked in, I wasn’t very hopeful. The ambience is quite basic and the overall vibe didn’t immediately impress me. But then the food arrived… and OH GOD! The Nihari and Haleem completely changed my mind. 🤌

The flavours instantly took me back to the old-school local restaurants of Burns Road, Karachi — rich, traditional, comforting, and genuinely authentic. This is the kind of taste that’s becoming harder and harder to find.

The Nihari was outstanding, the Haleem was packed with flavour, and finishing it off with Kulfi Falooda made the experience even better. I also tried their Paratha Beef Boti Roll, which was very good as well.

They have plenty of other items on the menu, but for me, the Nihari and Haleem are the real stars. 🌟

“Honestly the best. My mom and I order from here often and I’m so glad they keep their quality up. You can literally taste the love in their butter chicken. And the naan is always not undercooked and the edge is slightly crispy. I love the Indian food here. I’ve tried other spots and nothing is better“

The uncle who served me was incredibly kind and had such a warm and friendly nature. His hospitality really made the experience even more enjoyable. “My friend and I worked up an appetite shopping nearby and wanted to try this restaurant out because it was close by. What a great find!! I have eaten and cooked Indian dishes before and always stick to what I know. But today I ordered a new experience for me, I ordered Haleem & now its my new favorite! With Naan bread close by it was just about as delicious as I've ever had. We also ordered the Lamb Biryani and there was many pieces of tender lamb enveloped in the savory little spicy rice. Sorry I didn't get pictures.....we dived in too fast! Shopping was hard work! I did take a photo of the menu page just so I could remember what I ordered. Haleem.....its definitely a new favorite.

“Tried Spice Hut for the first time, and it was good! The Fish Pakora and Mix Grill Platter were full of flavor and tasted so authentic. We also had the Butter Chicken, Chilli Chicken, and Tarka Daal, and every dish was delicious.

Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Definitely a 10/10 experience—I’ll be coming back for sure!“
