How in the hickory smoked hell is this place any less than 5 stars?

Their staff will go far out of their way to ensure that they can help you out. I was in a pinch to keep my frozen seafood in storage while in town and they went out of their way to help me make it happen. Your not just buying from a great business, your helping good, thoughtful people.

We went there to buy a reindeer sausage. I asked the clerk which sausage contains the most of reindeer meat. He answered that all of them are the same. But what he didn't mention is that all of them contain less than 2% of reindeer meat. Apparently all the locals know about that. But I clearly indicated that I'm looking for reindeer sausage. We only realized that when we got home and read the label. It's a lousy way not to lose the sale. Be alerted and read the label on the spot.

Reindeer sausage almost has no reindeer in it. Please read the ingredients on the packaging. It’s a tourist trap!

I am from Minnesota. I went to Anchorage to visit a friend. He took me to the store. The reindeer and teriyaki elk meat are the best! Needless to say I stuffed quite a few packages in my suitcase ! ?

Always had them process my salmon cold smoked (lox) when I lived in Anchorage. Very happy with it. I am about to have my catch cold smoke again, but now I’m a visitor and have to have it shipped. I know what problems shipping can be. Another adventure!

Stopped in here with my sister as she shops here often. The gentleman working was so very kind and helpful. I sent my wares back home to Montana and everyone (that I shared with!) loved the king crab legs and reindeer sausage. I will have to order from here again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

They have lots of German, Norwegian, and other northern European condiments and foods as well as smoked meats. Gentleman behind the counter is super helpful to make sure your goods get home safely without spoiling. Eclectic food store for certain.

Great smoked fish and sausages

Ordered a gift basket from this company to send to my family in the lower 48. The package arrived ahead of schedule and they all enjoyed the items in it. the staff were also very quick to respond to my email with questions about the ordering process. highly recommended

A good assortment of German Christmas goodies . Not as good as grandma made (nothing is) but great just the same.The Sausage is not bad either.

Pains me to give only three stars because the products are great. The issue I have is that I dropped off some elk meat to have only a few pounds of pastrami made. I received a text message three days later reading it was ready (I was surprised given their pastrami schedule, but took their word for it). I paid for it and gave them my ticket upon arrival and it turns out the order wasn't ready. No big deal. They said they would call me when it was ready at the end of the month (November). After leaving I called back and asked if I should have grabbed my ticket, they said "no, you're fine." I waited until December 5th to call and ask if it was ready, which it was.I never received a text or a call that it was ready.I feel a 3 star review is fair due to the fact that I brought in game meat that took ten days of hunting with a lot of logistics and planning to get that meat back home. People earn every single ounce of meat they hunt, and I am trusting someone else to take care of that meat. Having not received any word (which was promised and that I didn't need the ticket) on the status of the order is discouraging me from returning with any future game. I prefer Alaska Sausage and Seafood's products over the competition. But if I'm risking losing something I put so much effort into, I'll go to the competition. But, I guess having game processed by someone else is always a risk.

Very nice service! You can taste different sausages. The products are local. I recommend visiting this store!
