“On Thursdays the cafeteria usually serves salmon. Today they served it with baby red potatoes, broccolini and a vinaigrette carrots and onion side dish all for $8.00. I am used to having highly processed and salted food. This food was not that, instead it was greatly seasoned good for you food for only $8.00. I know where I am having lunch next Thursday. I find the staff are very friendly, polite and professional. The part of the cafeteria I am able to see appears to be very clean. They provide you with plastic utensils and a cardboard container for your food, so you don’t need to worry about the getting germs from dishes or utensils. I highly recommend this cafeteria and I appreciate the extra efforts they make to provide healthy meals.“
“Only gone once so far but I gotta say, Wilderness Inn is not only a LOT cheaper than the air force DFAC but also has way better (and more) options.
Only 7 bucks for a full tray of food? As opposed to like- 12 bucks just for a salad alone? Sign me up.
Good way to save on money while also still getting good food. Worth the extra drive if you're on AF side of JBER👍
Hoping the current renovation for the AF DFAC goes a similar route.
Just wish there were better signs for what each area serves and that the servers had an easier time hearing you over all the noise.“

“The culinary arts students at UAA have a restaurant where they put their learned knowledge to the test in a restaurant setting called Lucy's.
It was a delicious 3-course lunch with a salad, entree, and a dessert buffet. You get to give feedback to the students afterwards so they can improve.
Awesome food and atmosphere to enjoy with friends at the end of the Spring semester. You must sign up and reserve online.“
