The food came out fast and was hot. However for what it is it kind of seems expensive. $80 for 2 adults and a kid (3 meals and 2 soup). Flavor was lacking in some areas. There was a lot of pieces of meat that weren’t good in the Mongolian beef, like fatty or too chewy. Also, we were hungry again soon afterwards.

People rave about this place but tbh I feel like it’s just ok.

Charlie's is a classic mom n pop operation with awesome Asian influenced dishes like lick smacking Kalbi ribs, hot steam buns, and juicy tender Mongolian beef. Plus the Bao buns that are freshly baked bread with any combination of meat stuffed with cheese ready to go on the run favs....

A friend told me about this place. I pass it all the time and because of how it looks I've never gone inside. It's actually clean inside and the food is pretty good. We've had a range of dishes and there are mixed reviews from my family. It's the best American Chinese food I've had in Anchorage, so when we want typical carry out Chinese, we will go to Charlie's. You spend a lot if money here because each item is considered an entire meal. So...
