Chicken was nice and tender and not dry. Mac and cheese was definitely like a 80/100. The pecan bread pudding on the other hand tasted sour and really threw my whole meal off. I do applaud them for pulling off this kind of comfort food and it not being too salty. Waffle sandwich my son says is a 3...the chicken was really the best part. Not sure if I would come back considering the options you have that you know are 100% good. Legit a good concept but some things need to be tweaked for sure. Loved the tomatoes on the shack hot and needed more to make the cheese not so thick in my mouth lol.

The gentleman running the front counter was very professional. The wait for the food was a bit long, but it was well worth it considering the taste and quality of the food we received. Ordered a full shack plus a poutine with biscuits and gravy plus sausage links. Would definitely recommend and will be back in the future to try the spicy options from the menu!
So actually let me explain seriously the best chicken sandwich my guy and I have had in Alaska,! That being said when I arrived I said I have a Togo order for my order no he did not ask my name I gave him 2 twenty’s I asked what the change was not receiving a bill at all he said 6.05 I said keep the change no thank you no nothing grabbed my food said goodbye so sad that this women has this awesome food and people working for her that JUST Don’t CARE

Drumstick was good. Winter greens were lacking. Chicken sandwich (spicy) looked good, but flavor was lackluster. Fries were cold and mostly the bottom of the bag giblets. Ordering was self serve, with server only delivering food and our we ended up having to ask for it to go. Portions were small for price. The bread pudding was, but over all not sure we will come back.

Modern environment, indie/hipster music, and great lighting. Self-order machines, water, and condiments.I had their signature chicken shack and a side of honey mustard. The flavors were interesting and is a different take on fried chicken. The fries were delicious and the meal sits well in the stomach. I had an enjoyable experience. Would recommend!

The portions are enormous, go hungry! It was great to eat somewhere where the food is made fresh. They hand-bread their chicken, and I'm going go out on a limb and say the okra I had was also hand-breaded. We had the Shack Tennesse Hot Chicken sandwich and the Delux Chicken sandwich. We also added bacon to both sandwiches. I subbed in the okra for the fries and hubby ordered an appetizer called Hot Mess, which is essentially poutine. The guy running the front of the house was attentive and very knowledgeable. Did a great job explaining the ordering process and how their food was prepared.

Great moist and tender fried chicken. The fresh fried okra was also awesome, especially with their spicy dipping sauce. The self-serve order kiosk was intuitive. I understand this place can be pretty crowded. I now understand why it is popular.
This place is a great concept with great architectural design and amazing food. Farm-to-table is an often claimed concept, but here it's done properly, and with a unique identity that makes you want to come back for their chicken's signature crisp. Great for lunch!

My family of four ate here tonight, and to say we were not impressed is an understatement. 4 chicken sandwiches and 4 sodas cost nearly $100. Two of us ended up eating our sandwiches with a knife and fork because the buns completely fell apart after the first bite. The breading on the crispy chicken deluxe was nice and crispy, but also very bland. The worst part is they have a pretty open kitchen, you can see into it as you're leaving the restaurant. If we would have noticed how dirty it was before eating, we would not have stayed. Standing water on the floor, dirty dishes everywhere and food floating in the water in the sink. I wouldn't recommend this place, there is better chicken at the deli at Carrs right across the road.

Almost no one was there on a Saturday evening, which says something.The food was pretty solid fried chicken, fried really well, however, the flavor was almost totally bland. No kick, no real savor at all. I had to use salt and pepper just to get it to have a semblance of flavor to it. The macaroni salad was heavy mayo, and too strong that way. Not a great flavor to mix with fried chicken as it was.Lastly, the booths were a stra ge kind of wood that was completely sticky, the kind that even if you wipe it down, it will still feel sticky. So, there is great potential there, but it needs some work.
