I’ve been coming here for 11 years, and it’s still my favorite bar in Anchorage. The staff is always welcoming, the drinks are strong, and the prices are good. It’s a relaxed, no-pressure atmosphere where you can actually enjoy yourself.
There are plenty of TVs, and you can watch pretty much any game that’s on, which makes it a great spot for sports. Overall, it’s a comfortable, laid-back tavern with great service and a solid local vibe.

“My family always visit this bar. My husband took me here 2 weeks ago as he became a regular at the bar and I enjoy the atmosphere, and groups of people are friendly. I meet Jen through my husband and she is awesome. Sweet lady running the bar, I don't drink alcohol I order Coke , I enjoy everyone's company and got to meet the old folks. No trouble maker and always a good times here, I get to enjoy the night without looking over your shoulder for trouble. Pool table on site great to enjoy and learning from the old folks. If you want a quiet night out and enjoy a good company and play pool this bar is the 1.“

“Whenever I'm in Anchorage, if I have time, I drop in. Usually, I never have an issue getting a table for a few guys and hitting the pool table and jukebox. Good assortment of beer and well priced. Also sells commemorative pint glasses for the Iditarod for cheap.“

“I used to come to Asia Garden regularly in my mid-20s, and I would have recommended it then just as much as I do now. I love the staff and the overall vibe. Karaoke every night after 9pm, plus both a bar and a restaurant. I always feel safe here whether I’m alone or with friends. Never bad vibes. Plenty of free parking too, which is a huge plus comparedto down town.“
