Every single time I walk into Heidi‘s, I leave satisfied and full. It is so nice to have a place in Anchorage that we can come to regularly and it be a hit every time. The staff is always great and friendly, and of course the owners are always present in their business, and I find that to be so welcoming and heartwarming. Well job done!

I have been to Heidi’s a handful of times in the past 6 months. It had become me and my husbands favorite for American breakfast food. Today was a poor experience. We were sat quickly and one of the workers asked if we wanted coffee. I said my husband would and he said he would be back with a cup, they never came back with any. When they took our order my husband ordered corn beef hash and I ordered the chicken strip dinner. The menu says the chicken strip dinner comes with five chicken strips, soup or salad, fries or mashed potatoes, and a dinner roll. Our server never asked what soup or salad I would want and never asked if I wanted any sauce. When we got our food my husband got chicken fried steak, and I got the plate pictured. My husband got the complete wrong meal. My plate was missing one chicken strip plus the soup or salad. I feel like the missing items alone would be enough for a poor review. However, the food also didn’t taste good. I am giving them 2 stars because the inside was clean and the workers were still friendly, but you have to give people what they ordered and have the food be good. We will probably try them another time and if the food is still bad we won’t come back.

Attentive and courteous staff.
Very clean place. Great Atmosphere. Delicious food, served fresh and hot. Had a full dinner and it was only $20.
This was my first visit, and I definitely plan to come back again.

Stopped for lunch, thought it would be ok after reading reviews. Ordered a club sandwich, very simple product. When it came out it was not cut four ways, I can live with that; however, the tomato's were cut close to a half inch think, turkey was pulled so high I could barely get my mouth over the bread, and the turkey had a slight slimy texture. When I bit down mayonnaise oozed out the sides and came through the bread. The flavor was truly awful. I told the waiter, and he took it away. I offered to pay and leave, short on time, but he didn't charge anything. The issue was handled well by the waiter, but there is no excuse for a restaurant kitchen to screw up a club sandwich. The fried were another story, soggy and greasy, they were warm but felt like they were microwaved or something.

I asked for latte and the answer is no and the waiter ordered me a cup of americano without saying anything (?americano from a kettle). The waffle is ok (maybe).

I've been coming here since they opened, but lately the food is very hit or miss. Today I got two orders of biscuits and gravy to go. While the gravy was good, there wasn't enough and the biscuits in both orders were hard as a rock, they literally crunched like an overcooked piece of toast. For $17 I expect more, and if the quality doesn't improve I will stop coming here.

Just ate here for the first time this morning. Great service isn't to really be expected in Anchorage. Its a different kind of living in Alaska. However these peeps were on top of it from the second I walked in. I was sat and served water and coffee instantly. I ordered my food and felt like they already knew what I wanted and had it prepared. It came out so fast. I got the ultimate breakfast. It tasted great as well. I was checked on multiple times and I watched them provide all who walked in with the same service they gave me. This place is a gem!
