Yeah this is not it. No smoke flavor. Ribs have a weird sweet flavor. Brisket fat is not rendered. This aint it.
Got a 25.00 bbq plate from the tent at Delaney Park. I have never had such terrible pork! It was inedible! Bbq sauce that was cooked in and almost burnt. It sat in huge caramelized chunks on the overcooked meat, which was served in at least an inch of pure grease. They got two stars for good beans and coleslaw. Glad we got to really try them before considering them for catering! It was truly awful. They are off our list.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the presentation. The brisket was the biggest disappointment. It was hard, overcooked, and had a rubbery texture. It also lacked the smoke ring, tenderness, and rich smoky flavor that make a good brisket stand out.
The pulled pork was the highlight of the meal. It was flavorful, moist, and easily the best item we ordered.
