“We wanted to try something new. Found Sushi Motto. When we arrived we were greeted and seated. Our oldest was having a hard time deciding on what he wanted because it's a new place. One of the ladies came to our table and helped him with his decision. She was amazing with helping him. Made it a calm and easy choice. All of our meals were exceptional. King fu panda. Lion king. Surf and turf. California roll. Crunch roll. And shrimp fried rice. The sushi rolls held together very well, no falling apart. And to top it off. The same lady came by and gave us of desert options. We chose fried Oreos. By far the BEST fried Oreos we have ever had. Now that being said. What a great first impression. The prices were very reasonable. All the staff were friendly and courteous. What a fun atmosphere. We have paid more at other places and they add automatic gratuity because we are a family of five. Which I find unprofessional. We will definitely be back. Next on the list. Shabu Shabu. Thank you for a wonderful experience.“

“I actually liked eating this restaurant cause not only I watch the anime Naruto, I also liked their Naruto ramen there. They also have Japanese movie posters inside the restaurant which makes it look nice, and they also have manga to read there not just Naruto. I would recommend eating there if you’re at least a food lover for ramen! 🙂“

“Stumbled upon Arigato by accident staying at a motel down the street while I overnight in Anchorage on my way to work for 5 weeks up in the Northwest part of the state. I was HUNGRY when I came in and ordered several dishes-edamame, spicy tofu, tempura Halibut (seasonal), and two sushi rolls. The owner who was waiting on me also surprised me with a delicious little soup and salad to start the feast. Every dish was one more delicious than the next. The edamame was piping hot with perfect amount of salt, spicy tofu 10/10, the tempura halibut had so much flavor and dipped in a little splash of soy sauce was so tasty, and the sushi rolls were fresh and flavorful and delicious. I will get a ride across town to eat here again if work lodges me at a different hotel on my next trip in October-I will absolutely be back! And yes, I ate it ALL!! This place is an absolute gem.“

“I’m not a fan of sushi but ReHaru is where my granddaughter wanted to go for her birthday lunch. The atmosphere was delightful and the food was excellent! Our server was full of personality and provided excellent service which earned him a very generous tip (60%). I highly recommend this restaurant as one of the best in Anchorage!“

“Bare bones restaurant with four tables and four high tops. Zero atmosphere but good food. No alcohol. Sodas and tea. Our combo of pork katsu and chicken teriyaki w potstickers was a good value. Everything done perfectly w crispy katsu and tender teriyaki. Sauces were a bit bland. Generous portion of sticky rice.Our order fed two seniors.“

“We have been here several times and have always enjoyed our meals! We ordered the firecracker for an appetizer and it was amazing! We came in hungry after traveling for the day and we were quickly seated and taken care of. Our waiter was amazing and didn’t even have to write anything down when we ordered and we ordered 8 different sushi rolls. While we were waiting for our rolls to come out our waiter brought us all a cup of Miso soup and added rice to the miso for our kids which was very thoughtful. He also brought my husband and I a cup of salad that was also very fresh tasting. My husband ordered a coke and it came in a glass with the good pebble ice so that was a nice touch as well.
Our favorite rolls are the kiss of fire, 911, and the crunch. The crunch is great for kids, our kids devoured them. The kiss of fire is huge - comes with a lot of poki tuna on top that you could add to your other rolls as you’re eating.
We will definitely come back when we come to anchorage. Don’t let the outside fool you - this place is well done on the interior!

“Just had a wonderful meal. Gyoza were outstanding. So was the pork belly, roasted black cod and sashimi platter. Please keep in mind that this is a one man operation. Sam the owner/chef/server does it all, and was a wonderful host. Best for small groups , call at 5 and make a reservation and don’t be on any rush. Truly a taste of small town Japan.“

“Surprisingly, good food for an airport restaurant. Sushi ? was fresh, and our main meals were delicious as well. I enjoyed a teriyaki salmon. My wife had the Udan Noddle soup ? with shrimp.Great for a nice dinner before a ✈️. Good beer selection as well.“

“Very relaxed atmosphere, wasn't busy, service was quick, got the Alaska Roll and it was perfect, my daughter got the Juneau Roll and loved it as well. Definitely will be back when I can.
