So, at some point my guess is USA businesses will have to return to their employees, 7 letter dirty word “Service.”I’m standing in Kaladi’s 8am, a Tuesday, March 2024 in Brayton, 10 patrons standing around the waiting for coffee. The cashier is a pleasant individual, and helpful. Because I wanted a Bold aka Dark Roast drip. She introduced me to Red Goat, with an add shot, all is good. Yes, to the roasters/owners, it tasted satisfying!I noticed everyone was standing around waiting for coffee, most of whom, to go. Fine.A perfect world, or common sense, perhaps not so common, But what if, just what if, they took the coffee and walked around out of the area which separates Them from Us, giving, and or more importantly searching in the shop for the coffees new owner then, placing it in the owners hand, … wait for it…with a Smile, emphasis on Smile.Roll that feeling we’d have, around your proverbial mouth a moment.Let us pause for the ancient feeling of gratitude, and importance, brought on by Real Customer Service..….?Nordstroms, one of the former kings of Customer Service, walked around the counter, placing your hard earned and bought, items, carefully into your hand! Why? Welp, Personally I’d prefer to sit down and start my work, read my paper vs ambling up to the counter every 5 mins. Depicting the business needs are above customer needs.‘Tell me that’s not true, I’m sorry for you, as you cannot. It’s funny. At Starbucks in Dimond blvd. Alaska also, yesterday early morning. There was no Bold aka Dark Roast Drip. The cashier mildly yet still begrudgingly said, “ I can do a pour over” then gleefully adding “ It will take 10-15 minutes “ as if to say, make us work, and you’ll pay!You know this is true, owners, and we see it, we feel it, slowly pushing us out to another business or even out coffee pots or home French presses…. The clock is ticking, on your bottom line there….I replied, do they not make Bold till 10 am anymore, here?. “I can do a pour over or americano.” It was odd I never did get an answer to the original question, then about that time The stores typical big guy , a little smaller than I, In the back walked by to make his presence momentarily known, behind the cashier. He must have realized I was ok trying to get an answer to the question, then he faded back into gray. Later he gave the pour over to me, seemed a cool guy.A.)Pour over take customers precious time. Hence Kaladi Brothers today. B.) Americanos taste like watered down coffee. C.) Pikes/Blonde place about the same, yuck.So I hope this helps business get back to the business of customer service?

Not sure what happened but the red goat coffee that used to be my favourite was just terrible. And they didn't have anything any honey, just pure sugar.

I went to Kaldi Brothers Coffee on Northern Lights Blvd. today, 11/16/2023 at about 7 am. I have been going there for several years. Sometimes I ask for a refill, and did so today (I have always been given a refill).I was told by the counterperson that they no longer give refills. The counterperson's co-worker said "you can go to any other coffee shop in town and they will give you a refill". In other words, do not come here any more.I do not understand this. I was nice and pleasant with both workers when I ordered my first cup, and when I asked for a refill. I even gave a tip. Yesterday (11/15/2023) I had no problem getting a refill.I would like to ask Kaldi Brothers management:1. Do you allow your employees to discriminate against your customers on the basis of race?2. Do you allow your employees to discriminate against your customers on the basis of gender?3. Do you allow your employees to discriminate against your customers on the basis of age?I would really like someone from Kaldi Brothers management to answer these questions.

Nobody trained these baristas how to pull shots and make coffee properly.

I love KBC! This particular location is great because there's a cozy fireplace with two chairs in front of it. Just be aware that yes, Anchorage has an issue: we have a large homeless population--just remember, it costs you nothing to be kind to them and offer a smile. The reason they're here is because they get free coffee and I support that.

Smoothie was not a smoothie at all. More flavored water was the consistency of the smoothie.

Decent sit down coffee shop. It had a hipster atmosphere that was inviting. They sold items from local artists which is always a nice touch when you go somewhere. Restroom was clean and stocked. Coffee was done very well. Ordered a breve that was aerated wonderfully. Had some interesting seating arrangements, wish there was more areas where 4x or more could sit but overall good. Do recommend if you’re looking for a sit down.

Bought two coffee blends, the colab with the Salmon Sisters ( a local jewelry maker using fish skin) and a sugar cane processed decaf which is never heard of. Barista was very professional. When you buy a bag you get a choice of 4 free drinks. A great deal on Alaska. I’m trying the Trieste decaf and daughter had an espresso con panna. Both excellent
