McDonald's in Anchorage

“I normally don't like fast food places because they don't pay well the employees and thus they hire people that have no qualifications or goodwill to work, but this specific mc Donalds price me something different. The employees seemed to like it there and the product they have me was what would be expected. It was very good“

“Service is spectacular, food is good but needs to be warmer. It seems fresh it's just never hot like most other McDonalds.
Atmosphere, who ever the security company is that has the contract needs to have the officers get out of their cruisers and confront the homeless people that hang out at the order windows in the pickup windows and heckle the customers. Security seems to be content just sitting in their cars and watching not actually doing anything The presence isn't enough to remove the illness people from the property.“

Kid-friendliness: Clean and had helmets for little jimmy in every bathroom I was extremely impressed for being smack dab in the middle of the ever increasing infamy we all know and love the one the only spunyard of Anchorage your very own Spenard AK.“

“First time in a McDonald's in the US, and second time to this one. While the menu items are the same, this one had one of the best service's ever. Also every item I had was freshly made and hot. XL fries were actually XL fries and full, and not like many places in Europe where the put like 60% of the bag. But yeah, the service was better than most places I've visited.“

“Getting easier now days, there order in the app option is great and time saving. I just give them the code from the app and get to skip the pay window pick up and go. Only thing that would be better is if everyone else did the same thing. The line would move much much faster if everyone ordered and paid before they got there. The new deals and value menu helps save money so ill definitely be going back soon“

“Since the implementation of the ordering kiosk when I walk in I'm completely ignored and when I ask a question about the price difference of an item I'm treated
Like I'm bothering them. Forget about using the bathroom they have to unlock the door and an employee (I assume on break because his hat was taken off but his shirt was clearly visible under his coat) wouldn't get up and unlock the door so I had to go up to ask the manager to unlock the bathroom and was informed it was for customers only!!! After I had just ordered and ate my meal.“

“The staff at this location really went above and beyond to return my wallet to me. I had accidentally left it and they contacted me to get it. I was quite impressed and thankful. While I was dining there the food we received was good and correct. I will say it is inconvenient to have the bathrooms locked but I understand the reason behind locking them and the staff unlocked them quickly. Thank you again to the staff for returning my wallet!“

“Breakfast menu was top notch as always, the McDonald's on Tudor & Lake Otis isn't one I go to often, but every time I do I never regret it. They've got their cooks on point for making consistent sandwiches that you can count on being exactly what you're expecting. Sometimes suprises are nice, but not when you're ordering fast food from one of the staple quick-meal restaurants in town. Save the suprises for some filet mignon or red velvet and cream cheese muffins that you're grandmother baked you. That's when variety suprises are the best and remind you of the warm glow of family. But when I'm heading to work or just getting a bite and say I want an Egg McMuffin with bacon, I know exactly what flavor profile I'm expecting - and this McDonald's delivers. Artic and Northern Lights as well is another one that is a real rockstar in the industry. As far as the other sites go, your milage will vary. Across the whole board I'd say McDonald's in Anchorage is above average when compared to other markets like Seattle or Fairbanks - their employees maintain a small town charm while also working effectively as a team to beat that always ticking meal clock they have above the drive-thru window. The only time I've ever had a problem with an associate is when they are new and don't understand yet the implications of being snarky or rude to a customer. Just a single such engagement can have vast and far reaching impacts not only for that employee but also for the franchise location, and possibly the company name in the area as a whole.

Overall I'm going to stand by my 5 star rating, with the caveat of 4 stars for Service, under the pretext of service implying Employee-to-Customer interactions, and vise versa. All other aspects of service, such as location, cleanliness, speed, etcetera remain at 5 stars.“

“I like the drive thru. Food is good, reliable, fast, perfect for those of us working in the mud all day, too dirty to dine in. The dollar menu is a great value. I really appreciate these folks being there for us. There are always people telling you negative stuff online about fast food chains such as this, but they are in business because they have a winning combo of reasonable prices, efficient service, and food that gets the job done. So we can get back to work. That's important to me. Thanks for the great coffee prices, too. Coffee is very good, as well. Your closest competitor has really bad coffee by comparison.“

“I stop by this McDonald’s once or twice a week, and one of the main reasons I keep coming back is Logan. He’s usually the one on the speaker when I pull up to the drive-thru, and he always makes the experience more enjoyable. His sense of humor and positive attitude genuinely brighten our day. My family and I actually look forward to hearing his jokes and the fun, personalized touch he brings to each visit. It's rare to find that kind of energy at a fast food drive-thru, Logan is a gem!“

“I likely eat at McDonalds way more than I should. As such, I’ve been to many, if not most, of the locations in Anchorage. This location is by far my favorite. They make the effort to put the food together in a way that shows not just competence but a work ethic that is hard to find. The staff has always been unfailingly polite even when I show up during busy times.

Specifically I was having a very rough day in the middle of October and just needed something to eat. It was my first time in quite sometime ordering at this location on Old Seward near Dimond mall, and I expect much the same as other locations. Lopsided sandwich, cold limp fries and my drink lid to be barely on.

It might sound absurd to say, but these things not being true really made my day. It was such a small thing but really affected me. I had to go in and tell one of the employees thank you. They seemed surprised that they should be thanked, but also happy that they were acknowledged.

So to the people working at this location, thank you again. It’s a small thing, but preparing people’s food without complaint and in good spirits I can’t imagine is always easy.“

“I ate an egg and sausage cheese McGriddle from here one stormy morning when the weather was just not cutting it (normally, can pretty much subsist on sunshine alone. At least 'til lunch.)
The lady who delivered the order to the window was sweet and very smiley, seemingly simple touch but really nice on an un-fun morning.
(As for the McGriddle, I may or may not order it again. I had thought it would have english muffin holding the eggy sausage goodness inside but I was wrong. It was lightly sweet pancake-like things, which were a touch rubber sole-ish along the outside edges and a tad greasy on the lips. But did I finish it? Yes. Yes I did.)“

This is a LOCALLY OWNED franchise! I truly hope the owner sees this!“

“The staff here is very friendly and works fast, I dropped a cup once and they immediately came and helped me. The food here is like any other McDonalds, so average. They DO have a play area for kids which is great. The environment is clean and friendly. Overall this McDonalds does get a 5/5, although the bar is quite low because again, this is McDonalds.“
