Mochileros Street Food

Their food is amazing! It is worth the wait. I've enjoyed the taquitos, pork doblados, and pupusas. It's been fun visiting Mochilleros this summer at Double Shovel. Highly recommend checking them out before they close this season on October 8, 2024.

10/10. I learned about this food truck on the Gluten Dude App, which had excellent reviews stating that Mochileros is safe for those with celiac disease or GF diets. You’d never know it’s GF from all the delicious and fresh options! I can confirm that it’s safe for those looking for a celiac-safe food option in Anchorage. The owners are super friendly and happy to answer any menu questions. We ordered the carne asada tacos with homemade corn tortillas, street corn steak tacos, chicken taquito, and cheese pupusa. Everything, including the salsas and sauces, was delicious, and I would happily order again. My personal fave was the chicken taquito. The chicken was next level in the flavor department. Go check this place out; you will not be disappointed!

We got two mountain pupusas, the roasted street corn chipotle steak tacos, the pork dobladas with mango salsa and a horchata!! Although we thought each came with one taco (and thought we weren’t that hungry) each came with two and sides of chips/salsa and we ate every bite. This food was so delicious we couldn’t stop!!! My favorite was the pork doblada and my fiancé loved the street corn tacos! Our friend got the mango nachos and those were delicious as well!! CANNOT GO WRONG! And the chefs were so nice!

Not super ‘fast’ but who needs fast when you have fresh and delicious!

Some of the best tacos I've had in sometime two tacos are a giant meal for one comes with guacamole and picked spicy veg. I'll be back .

Mochileros is one of the all time best food trucks in Alaska. Anything less than a 5 star imo is unwarranted! If they are available at any of the gatherings we always default to them. Mountain Papusas for the win!

You can absolutely taste the love these chefs have for their food! Every bit of each plate is put together with the experience in mind. Fresh salsa, fresh veggies, freshly executed. Look for them at the next brewery you stop at!

Amazing food! The cook is a really sweet lady from Guatemala City. We ordered to go but if we had still been in the vicinity of this food truck I would have gone back for another round. We will be back, I ate the food too fast to grab a picture it was so tasty.

They recently came to the bayshore food truck event and yes there was a wait but there was a lot of people. I ordered the chicken dobladas and original street corn. The corn was amazing both me and my husband would go back just for that. The chicken dobladas were very fresh and tasty as well. Next time I want to try their vegetarian option macho nachos. Super impressed with what I have had so far!!!

Quick but not too quick. Was made fresh and honestly my first time trying Guatemalan food. 10/10 would recommend. Wouldn't be surprised if they started a restaurant here soon!

Couple of beers in Girdwood, and a carne asada street taco and the mango especial pulled pork - blew doors off expectations. Writing this now because, Im eating from my to go box 2 days later and remembered that I said I would leave a good review. Get this truck a brick and mortar spot pronto!!! 🙏

Absolutely awesome food truck. I travel to Anchorage often. In the last 8 years I’ve probably spend over a year and a half in Anchorage in total. So I get familiar with various spots for food and drinks. Mochileros Street Food truck is one of the best spots I’ve visited in a while. Visit them on Wednesday nights at the Onsite Brewing Company in midtown Anchorage. The beer there is great too. It’s definitely something you won’t regret.
