Their food is really good!
The staff was not very friendly and somewhat stand-off-ish. The prices were OUTRAGEOUS for what you actually get.
The food was okay, but not for the price you pay, and the potatoes salad portion size was a joke. I was really craving sandwich and soup, and although soup is listed as an option for their sides, they didn't have any soup for the day.
They are definitely playing up the fact that Guy Fiere visited their establishment, and I wouldn't be surprised if thats the reason why yhe prices were so high for 2 pieces of bread and some meager fillings.
We will not be returning.
Kid-friendliness: NOT kid friendly.

Food is great, but wait times are long, and often run out of food way before their posted hours. After getting turned back at the door twice in a week I won’t be going back.

Originale always performs spectacularly. The bread and pinsa dough are always fresh made, in-house with high quality ingredients. The flavors marry perfectly. I’ve never experienced a bad meal and today was no exception. Marguerite Pinsa and a Godfather add greens/tomato/spicy mayo. Fast, friendly, delicious!

Excellent sandwiches; very close to what we had in Italy.

Spent a summer in southern Italy and lived around the east coast of America. By far the best Italian sandwiches I have found in this country. The bread is perfect.

Food is always good, probably one of the best sandwich spots.
But they’ll basically force you out as soon as you’re done eating. We had literally just finished eating (barely had been a minute) and was finishing our drinks and was told to basically hurry up so others may sit when there were people who were done way before us (who got there before us) sitting and also taking up seating.

I have tried their sandwiches which are delicious. But I actually go there for their charcuterie boards and to get some mortadella. They're antipasto selection is great! This place can get very busy! There have been times where I went there and they were already closed because once they run out of bread they close. So you got to get there when they open. A cute place, awesome atmosphere, amazing sandwiches and friendly staff!

The best sandwiches I've had at the most limited availability. Getting here early enough is key otherwise you risk them running out.
Il Diavolo is quite possibly the best sandwich ever conceived.

A nice experience. Especially for the color of the environment. However, don't expect to eat like in Italy. Obviously they adapted to American taste. Must try
Have yet to find something we don’t like here. Ill Diavolo, Puttanesca pinsa, caprese salad, and tiramisu are few of our favorites here.
This is a hidden gem in downtown
