This is the first true authentic Mexican restaurant that I found and dined at in the two weeks that I've been in Anchorage, Alaska and coming from San Francisco where there's a rich cornucopia of authentic Mexican cuisine including food, trucks and taquerias. Just had a marvelous meal at Pancho Villa. Delicious gravy sauce on the white meat chicken chimi was new to me and so yummy. If you don't want spice, this is a great choice. The tamal was super with lovely lean pork and very thin mass. The enchilada sauce was smoky and flavorful with enough heat to warm me up without burning.
