This is a tried and tested favourite for us as they know how to cook and their steak is reliably good. The staff are always efficient and friendly and though the decor could seriously do with modernising it doesn't stop us returning regularly for guaranteed good food and a night off from cooking at home.
We like Southside bistro but my recent reservation didn’t go as expected. Booked a table for 6 and wanted to add two more people on the reservation for a friend’s birthday party. I was told I was already at max and they cannot accommodate two more people to my reservation. I asked for a separate table and was told that was not possible. I asked the person on the phone If I should just cancel my reservation and book somewhere else and she agreed with canceling my reservation....
It's an average place, not many choices of food, and some are gone early in the day. Keep in mind that if you want to try Alaskan salmon, come before 5 pm. Our food wasn't salty at all, but good otherwise.
