Went in for lunch Saturday. The service was excellent, the bbq bacon cheeseburger was by far the best burger I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Got the Biscuits & Gravy during brunch, came with Home Fries and two eggs. Home Fries were bland, wasn't to concerned, was just gonna ask for some salt n pepper. However, the Bicuits & Gravy were not good. I had to use my butter knife to saw through the Biscuit, it was over cooked. The bottom was nearly charred which made it bitter. The gravy was not made correctly, very thick and starchy. The cook who made it should have tasted it and known that the flour was not cooked off. After that I decided to just send the dish back, I did not get anything else. The servers were very kind and apologetic. They also removed the charge from my ticket. I don't think I will be going back, those biscuits and that gravy should not have even made it onto a plate, especially at a $17 price tag.

Elevated pub food. Comfy spacious seating. The menu has a good selection with something for almost anyone, from artisan pizzas to pastas to steak. They offer some very nice wines and a good selection of beers on tap.

Finally got around to trying Corks and Hops in Eagle River, and I must say, it was a great experience. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Peach Cobbler. Perfect flaky crust and a warm peach filling. This was all complemented beautifully by a pinch of cinnamon, and the scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. It was so good I forgot to take a picture!
The Blackened Chicken Fettuccine was amazing! The pasta was cooked to perfection, with a rich, creamy Alfredo sauce that had just the right amount of garlic and herbs. The blackened chicken elevated the dish with a Smokey, slightly spicy kick. Just the way I like it!
Overall, Corks and Hops was a great choice I love their food!

Great spot in Eagle River. Food is very tasty!! Got the bruschetta, French onion soup, and steak pizza. I wouldn’t recommend getting those three things together because they all have garlic and onion so it ended up being very salty. That being said I would get those three things again but just pair them with different appetizers/entrees.

Tenderloin burger and soups were excellent. The Portuguese beans was our favorite.

It was ok overall. We had crab cakes for an appetizer, they were warm and tasty. My pizza had delicious toppings but the crust was too hard and the middle was soggy. My husband had the shrimp pasta, 5 pieces of shrimp at over $30 hurt a little. Atmosphere was below par, service was ok. Great selection of wine but it was very overpriced. Overall we had a decent meal but won’t return.

Corks and Hops in Eagle River, Alaska, offers a stylish, contemporary dining space, perfect for a relaxed night out. The restaurant has a cozy yet modern atmosphere that makes it stand out in the area. I recently visited and had the opportunity to try several dishes from their menu, which features a variety of well-thought-out items.
I ordered the filet steak, requesting it to be cooked medium, but it arrived closer to medium-well. Despite this, the steak was still quite flavorful, though the dish was overwhelmed by a heavy-handed amount of sauce. It drowned out the natural flavors of the meat, which was disappointing. I had also opted for the "Oscar Style" preparation, expecting fresh, succulent king crab lump meat. However, it was served with a mediocre crab cake on top, which fell short of the experience I was hoping for. The accompanying potato lacked seasoning, and with no salt or pepper on the table, it felt like the final touches were missing.
My partner tried the Fig, Goat Cheese and caramelized onion pizza. While the flavors were intriguing, the sweetness of the fig dominated the dish, similar to the sauce issue with my steak. We found that the balance of flavors could have been improved to enhance the overall enjoyment.
Unfortunately, service didn’t help redeem the meal. Our server didn’t check on us after delivering our dishes, nor did they come back to take another drink order. The inattentive service paired with the imbalance in flavors left us with an overall experience that was decent, but far from stellar.
For those seeking a trendy spot to enjoy a meal and drinks, Corks and Hops has a nice ambiance, but the attention to detail—both in service and execution of the dishes—could use some improvement.

My first visit here and I'm impressed, wine, beer and food just like the sign says, and a good selection of all three. Superior service very good food and kind of a funky acceptable atmosphere, certainly not high brow, certainly not lowbrow kind of medium brow, and a delightful waitress who put all the pieces together. If you want a glass of wine (or a bottle of wine) some good food and a nice place to have beer, wine and food I recommend Corks and Hops
