The jerk chicken was either cooked yesterday and reheated today or super overcooked today. It was chicken jerky and only a tiny amount out sauce on one piece which was the only good thing about the meal... the sauce. The beans and rice was very Uncle Ben's and the cabbage was ... what even is that?!? 20 dollars? I have never felt more robbed as this is 7 dollars worth of food maybe. I get overhead but won't catch me here again.

Decent food, but a little disappointing for the price and quality. Jerk chicken bowl only had about 3 thin pieces of chicken and it was like sliced deli meat. Cabbage is fairly bland. Goat curry dish was majority bones. The mac and cheese and plantains are the only remarkable things we’ve tried. We like supporting small business and love Caribbean food, but have been disappointed with each order unfortunately.

I recently visited this restaurant with a friend, and unfortunately, we both ended up with food poisoning. The experience was extremely unpleasant, and we are both still recovering. The city is currently investigating the restaurant for several serious issues, including unsafe kitchen conditions, expired food, improper storage practices, and overall cleanliness.
During our visit, it was evident that the hygiene and safety standards were lacking. The food we were served seemed questionable, and we had concerns about how it was prepared and stored. We noticed unclean surfaces and general disorganization, which made us uncomfortable. After eating, both my friend and I began experiencing severe symptoms, leading us to seek medical attention.
It's troubling to see that such conditions are being investigated by the city, and I strongly urge anyone considering dining here to be cautious. We hope the restaurant takes this matter seriously and makes the necessary improvements to ensure the safety and well-being of its patrons.
New to Alaska, just came from Houston and this place and its food is the closest thing to what I’d find in Texas! Food was AMAZING and the staff are friendly. Shout out to Thomas lol he’s new but he’s a cool guy.

Great all around, the beef pattie I had was fire. Oxtail was super tender. People very nice. Very clean inside.
Food was really good, the restaurant is neat and very inviting, I appreciate looking into the kitchen and not seeing dirty floors, and it’s pretty much spotless in there and I recommend trying the beef Pattie’s those are fire!
