Me and my girlfriend heard some good things about this place but have not yet tried it so when we were back in eagle river we decided to stop by and see what the craze was about. I got the tenders with fries also included a side of their house jerk ranch and spicy jerk sauce and my girlfriend got the shrimp rasta pasta. The tenders were overdone as well as cooked in cold oil (the chicken soaked up the oil it was fried in) breading was almost non existent flavor was to sweet fries were great spicy jerk sauce was literally a1 steak sauce or some generic brand mixed with whatever their house seasoning is (was not impressed) ranch was okay. Pasta was good just very baseline and not worth the 24 dollars spent for it. Store also charged a service fee of 2.5% and just keep in mind when you come here... THERE IS NO SERVICE. The fee is absolutely pointless. Host or cashier was drawing the whole time and hardly even looked up and I noticed cooks were in the back on their phones with gloved hands. I am a cook and this is unacceptable in any place I've worked in. I will definitely not be coming back again!

Really really good food there. The owner, V put together a killer menu, and she nails everything I've tried. Play some suggestions I would give are definitely tried the fried plantains. The tacos and I absolutely loved the brown stewed chicken. Killer local business, Foodies will love.

I was excited to find this place and drove from Anchorage to experience one of my favorite cuisines: Caribbean. However, the reason for a lower review rating is the cost to size ratio. I ordered the Oxtail at $30 and was shocked to see the portion. Upon tasting it, I was expecting more in my face spices and thought it was good but a little too sweet.
I'll def come back to try other items as their menu looks amazing, but think they need to rethink their prices. $30 for two pieces of oxtail is a bit much.
I did love the sustainability focus and charity donations. Cheers to a woman owned business.

You would not guess this is not a chain restaurant. It is kept clean and beautiful. And the employees are the friendliest ever. I've tried several of the dishes and they are all always amazing.

We ordered for pickup i got the beef jerk bowl and my husband got the chicken stew. The portion control for the price is ridiculous. Rice and beens over a little bit of beef for almost 20 dollars? The containers are the small meal prep containers. Barely any of their white sauce and the beef didn't have any seasoning. My husband's food wasn't bad but again the servings are so small for what you pay for. This will be the only time we buy from this place.

The chicken tenders were seasoned somthing fierce. Mind blown! My girlfriend had their Chicken sandwich and was in love. We also shared the Mac & and cheese. So cheese with a mild slap heat to the face, and making you wanting more. YUM YUM get you some!
The last time I had the chance to pick up food from here, I had the goat curry, which i also highly recommend.
While I didn't stay to eat, everything was clean and welcoming when I arrived. And the scent of great food hit me as soon as I walked in.
Portions were generous, and I have enough to save for later. Definitely one of the better Caribbean-inspired meals I’ve had in a while. I plan to try and visit anytime I'm in the eagle river area.

Amazing food, cool vibes, I ended up ordering more food than I expected and devoured everything. That Hibiscus punch slaps! Gotta go back and try out more! You know how some say too much spiciness downs out the flavor, this place hits just right on the Spice, just a little kick too enhance the flavor. Oooo! YUM! Can't wait to check it out again!

I ordered the steak and shrimp jerk bowl with an extra side of sautéed cabbage, and everything was excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly and well-seasoned with a nice jerk flavor, and the shrimp were juicy and flavorful. The cabbage was also really good — simple but seasoned just right, and a great complement to the rest of the meal.
The last time I had the chance to pick up food from here, I had the goat curry, which i also highly recommend.
