Easily the best Mexican restaurant I've tried in Alaska. The food is legitimately good, very fresh and flavorful. The portions are sizeable and the menu offers plenty of options. The breakfast food alone makes this place worth a stop. The service we recieved was very friendly, and we had no difficulties getting seated at our table quickly. I would definitely visit here again!

My family and I went here today for breakfast. Unfortunately we weren’t able to eat here because I have a soy allergy and they said they cook everything in soybean oil and the butter that they use also contains soy. We did have their coffee and horchata, both were very good. I wouldn’t recommend going here if you have a soy allergy.

We LOVE El Pastor! The food is delicious whether we eat in or get it to go and the service is great! We ate there tonight and ordered a quesadilla and taco salads. The quesadilla came out a little well done, but we weren't going to complain about it. Maybe 5 minutes later they brought out a replacement and even put the other one in a togo box so we could take it home. We'll definitely be back, but then, we usually eat here at least once a week! 😊

The breakfast burritos did not look very large or tasty, but their look was deceiving. They were bomb diggity!!!

Just remember the tortillas please. Every dish that says tortillas on the menu never has them for our take out.

waited 15 mins to be seated, than another 35 for food. eggs over hard when asked medium, bacon was cold and got brown gravy over biscuits when pick showed traditional white, server claimed thats their twist. The waiter never came by one time to check how food was. poor service. will never return.

I went to eat dinner and then breakfast there in the last week, here is my take: If you don’t have time to read everything, please go to the bottom to the ***! 1) Dinner- I ordered the Carne Combo with carne asada, no onion and extra rice instead of beans. My order came out exactly as ordered and after about 20 minutes of waiting. Every aspect of the food was delightful, flavorful, and well plated. I was extremely impressed with the flavor of the salsa at the salsa bar. This portion was really well thought out, and perfect for someone on a normal night. If you are eating after an event or are particularly hungry, I recommend ordering the chips and salsa or something in addition. Because I was still a touch hungry, we ordered the Churro cake and the fried ice cream. The price was amazing—$5 per. Three people split the desserts and, frankly, couldn’t finish them. The churro cake was really great and a great compliment to the fried ice cream. The churro cake had a great flavor! 2) Breakfast- Go to their breakfast. That’s it. Go. They had a unique take on biscuits and gravy as it was a touch spicier than I was accustomed to, but I would not have it any other way. There was not anything on my plate that I would not highly recommend. I am not even a huge fan of eggs, but they were incredible! The country style potatoes were perfectly seasoned, the carne asada was soft and flavorful. It was a fantastic meal. ***One important thing to note: you can very much tell that everyone there is hustling and doing their best to make orders accurate. This is not the place that you want to go if you want something extremely fast. Several times I got up and got water myself and went up to the counter for more coffee. They were running everywhere and working extremely hard to make the food amazing. Please be patient with them as they very obviously have signs asking for more workers. They are doing amazing work and deserve a little patience💕 I will undoubtedly be back.

We waited 45 minutes to an hour for our food, my food had so much cilantro that I’m still tasting it. For what I paid for the food it was not worth it.

Overall a disappointing meal from El Pastor. The $15 burrito was more like a $6 Taco Bell version, small in size with minimal carne asada and excessive refried beans. Although the menu lists several ingredients, including guacamole and sour cream, which I requested on the side, the burrito had mostly beans and very little meat. The meat that was there had good flavor, but there wasn't enough of it. Despite last year’s ownership change, I expected the quality to remain, if not increase. Will not be going back, unfortunately.
