Nothing beats being able to support local shops like these. It’s rare to experience excellent service and quality on the food/desserts that match up so well with one another, but here is Grizzly Donuts providing both of those things on multiple occasions that I’ve gotten the chance to stop by there including other family members that have gotten the chance as well. Their donuts are definitely on another level.

From the very first time that my fiancé and I stepped into this cozy bakery, it has always been a positive, and enjoyable experience. The owners and staff are friendly, helpful, and very personable. Their mochi donuts are one of a kind here in Alaska, the taste of which reminds me of da butter mochi from back home in Hawaii. They are sweet without being too sweet or too filling, which is a rare find in this business where donut shops seem to think that more is better. The quality and the rich natural flavors of the unique artistry of each masterpiece is far beyond the norm. I promise you, try a few of the different flavors, you’ll be glad you did!!!!

Everytime i try to come here, it’s always closed (during business hours) so i thought maybe they sold out. I’ve tried to come at opening (again during business hours) and they were closed as well. Maybe update the hours on google if you know you won’t be open? I’ve come here once because they were actually open. Every single time i tried to come they were closed during “open” hours.

Incredible Mochi donuts, Grizzly Donuts has some of the nicest owners and employees.
We came for ice cream & had both the huckleberry & Java chocolate chip ice creams. Both were really good! Our friend got donuts that were freshly baked & he devoured them. It is a quaint little shop tucked back in the strip mall shops, cute grizzly bear painted on the front window. We will be back!

Every time we have gone, the service is impeccable. The owner is extremely generous, friendly, and makes us feel so welcome. Their flaming brown sugar boba is to die for (and this is coming from someone who has lived in boba meccas like San Diego and Japan) and their donuts are super tasty. The mochi donuts are comparable to those I used to buy from conbini in Japan. Can’t recommend it enough! Hidden gem!
