I have picked up food from here several times. We live in Chatanika and on our way home will grab some Thai food to go. It is always great. We either get red curry or a meat and vegetable stir fry. I'm doing this as a late review because I noticed there were no reviews yet for them. I give them an easy five stars.

Was in Fairbanks for a month on business. The pineapple fried rice here was the best thing I ate during the entire trip, better than any restaurant in town. Service was impeccable, and we loved the free soup! See you again next time!

Proportions are MASSIVE and the food is amazing. You absolutely get your money's worth here. The curry puffs are one of the best things I've ever tasted! They are delicious curried chicken and sweet potato in a perfect flaky crust. So good.

Honestly, Baan Laos is tucked away in a tiny corner about 10 miles north of Fairbanks. It's easy to miss, as I did until just recently, even though I drove past it during my commute for years. Chef Ong kicks it up a notch with a simple, rich menu made from fresh ingredients and with great technique. The flavors reflect a unique regional twist. No haggling over spiciness. I didn't have to ask, and it was perfect for my four-chili level preferences. Curry puffs ($12), pad mama with pork ($16), and prad kra prao with shrimp ($18) provided four meals of feel-good cooking. Top notch and worth the drive from Fairbanks or Two Rivers.
