So not worth the money. The food was sub par and for the quality and serving size it's way overpriced. I would not eat here again. The staff is friendly and the service was great, but not the sandwiches. The cheese on the "grilled cheese" was barely warmed, not close to melted. The Reuben had two pieces of meat and I had to search for the Swiss cheese. Also - when the Reuben says it comes with dill pickle it's sliced and IN the sandwich. That really altered the traditional Reuben taste and not in a way that I enjoyed. And I like dill pickles. The fries were good, The cole slaw was watery and had an odd taste. It was a half cup serving for $5.99. I had 1 bite, my husband had 1 bite to confirm and I told the server it wasn't good. She said she'd relay the message, but I had to request it be taken off my bill. The atmosphere is nostalgic and maybe the breakfast is good - the menu is mostly breakfast foods, but the food we tried was not good.We will not return.Vegetarian options: Very few lunch or dinner options. There was a veggie burger on the menu. As you'd expect for breakfast, there are lots of egg, pancake and waffle options.
The locals recommend this and it is awesome. You have a choice of sour dough or buttermilk pancakes. Large portions and fast service
The buttermilk pancakes are the best. The service is fast and friendly but can get very busy sometimes.
Food was excellent and price reasonable for Alaska. The service was really good but pretty busy so we didn’t see them much. They have gluten free options. The bathrooms were super clean. Found out at the end they charge for soda refills. Didn’t know that when she kept asking if we wanted a refill.
The bakery is simply delicious. A recommendation from friends is what originally brought us in. The server Bill is wonderful. He is clearly over worked but always remains calm cool and collected while doing a superb job. The menu has a wide selection, definitely family friendly with something for everyone. Pricing is fair, with large portions. The coffee is honestly the BEST. The restaurant is seat yourself. You pay at the counter at the end. Parking is easy.
Excelent spot in Fairbanks close to downtown. Been here twice. Amazing Customer service, really nice environment, Fair prices and good food. The Egg Benedict and country fried steak are my favorites so far .Crab cake benedict holandese sauce was really rich in flavor and blend very well with the spices in the crab cake itself.I give them a 4 mostly because of Montecristo okeish.Overall amazing place would recommend.
Good place to have breakfast. Friendly staff. Menu was large with interesting variety. Would definitely recommend.
One of my favorite breakfast places. They have all the classics. There's a lot of seating in here but they fill up! Typically not a super long wait. Service is so fast and you never have to wait for a coffee fill up.
The bakery is amazing we had great service and the food was delicious and am satisfied with the service and the staff!
We got waffles, cinnamon roll, french toast and chicken. Everything was really good, would go here again. Service was FANTASTIC and much better than anywhere else we ate in Fairbanks.
Ordered blueberry pancakes and they were large and delicious. Reindeer sausage was also delicious. Service and coffee were lacking. I don’t feel this was due to lack of help because others around us with a different server didn’t have the same issue.
Not one to leave a lot bad reviews but we felt like we had to. We’re visiting Fairbanks and have had some really great food however the food at The Bakery was SO bad we couldn’t eat it. The French Toast was a glob of mush. So gross. Eggs were awful. Hash browns were so bad. We just paid the bill (which was almost $50!) and left. Even the coffee was bad. Looked like tea. There are so many other places you can get good food. Please save your money (and disappointment) and go somewhere else.
The staff is amazing. They are so friendly, ate here for breakfast on the first day of our 5 day trip and came back every morning for the rest of our trip. Tried something different on the menu every time and everything was delish. Shawn, Jamie, and Bill made each visit even better.
This is a great breakfast restaurant- clearly the best in town- we visited and tried 3 others- great service, personable, friendly, and tasty food. We don't let ourselves be spoiled with pancakes often, but these pancakes are fantastic- treat yourself!!!
Liked the place n the food. Warm welcome. Nice place - very clean n clear. Good environment and very cozy. waiter was very friendly, attentive and got the food fast. Food tastes very good.
