Great place had dinner there every night for three nights and something different every night. Wonderful waitress would recommend it to anyone in a real nice campground along the river stayed there.

This place was within walking distance from our hotel. I would say the food was average to above average. Not fancy but clean and comfortable. They lost a star for serving me clam chowder with a distinct burnt taste. We were having an early dinner and after my complaint to the waitress they stopped offering the chowder to the other diners.......but the chowder was still on my bill!!

Great place to eat after spending time in the springs. Food and service was great. I had a cheese burger that had a real good grilled flavor.

The food was very delicious. Went many times during the trip and the prices were a bit more but that’s Alaska. The salmon was original and tasty, the seafood pasta was excellent as well. Honestly have no complaints. Service was prompt and our waiter was very informative for any questions we had.

We went for dinner because we were staying onsite. There was nothing wrong with food or service but nothing to get excited about. There are better places in town.

I want to address the waiter with an accent. I didn’t tip and he comes back and says you forgot to add a tip and rolls his eyes.

Yesterday I paid $53 for the two meals me and my friend got and left cash for the tip. I still have the customer copy of the receipt. I found out today that my card got charged $106. The amount is not even close to $53 to make a mistake like that. Make sure you check your bank account after dining with chena Alaskan grill.

A low-effort establishment is the best way I know to describe Chena Alaskan Grill. The service was just ok. Less time chatting and laughing with each other would help. The menu is just a piece of paper in a glorified document protector, I assume it would be relatively easy and cheap to update it. I get very annoyed when I have to play menu roulette multiple times before I find a drink you still have. The food tasted good however and it arrived in a very reasonable time.Parking: An awkward parking lot

Worst crab cakes I have ever had. Undercooked and just 2 , not great for an expensive dinner. I will say the other 3 in my party all liked their food.

Dinner by the banks of the Chena River in Fairbanks AKWe saw this restaurant off the highway one morning on our way to Denali National Park but they are only open for dinner between 5:00p to 10:00p so we planned on dining here on our last evening in Alaska. The restaurant is located on the gentle banks of the Chena River on the grounds of the River's Edge Resort cottages. We didn't have any reservations but when we walked in we were led to a table promptly. The place had a casual and comfortable ambiance inside. There was a sign on the front door in relation to being short staffed posted but we had Nikolai as our server and we didn't feel neglected as he was very attentive to our table. Nice young man from Bulgaria.I had been craving for steak so I ordered the Grilled Rib-Eye while hubby got the Grilled Chicken Breast. The steak was 12-oz big smothered with shallots and mushrooms and red wine Demi glaze. Loved the sides of garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. Whatever I couldn't finish on my plate my hubby will so nothing is wasted LoL! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Pleasant experience at the restaurant. Review #3142

The food was GREAT! That meatloaf was delicious! The service was excellent. We had a student on a J1 visa from Bulgaria for our waiter and he was delightful. Attentive, very polite, and just did a great job. The restaurant itself seemed a little worn around the edges, but not so bad that made one want to go elsewhere. Wish the weather had been nicer, so we could've eaten out there, but.... Well worth the money spent.

Dined here 2 months ago and had a great experience, the food was amazing. Went recently and the food was absolutely terrible. The meatloaf was over cooked and dried out. Crab cakes were okay but did not have a lot of flavor. The rice pilaf accompanying the crab cakes tasted of old beef broth left in the pan overnight. The waiter did his best, he was nice. The last waitress we had was also amazing, found out she quit due to management which is a total disappointment.

We went here since we were lodging at the accommodations and it was late. Our train has just gotten in and it was great they were still open. Our waiter Petko was extremely nice and helpful. The food was good. We sat outside and the atmosphere was very nice.

Good waiter. Tried his best to make us feel comfortable. Nice good food. It's just pricey though for one person.

The seafood fettuccine and cherry glazed tenderloin were delicious. The servers are friendly and you have a good view of the river. We stayed at the cabins next to it, definitely convenient, but well worth driving to if staying somewhere else.
