I went here with a friend, the waitress DOUBLE charged me for an item i ordered once, and proceeded to tell my friend like she was happy about it that she “charged me twice” like how do you NOT see that when you’re ringing someone’s order up? make that make sense.

3/18/24 about 3:16 PM.I ordered onion rings, french onion soup and a reuben sandwich. The sandwich was very good. I asked for no bread in the soup and got it as ordered. I thought the onion rings had too much crust for the thin rings of onion. But they were edible and I have had worse. The reuben was very good. I thought the beer selection was not broad enough. There were neither porters nor stouts, my favorites.The problem was service. Our table lady came with the bill while I was still eating. My wife was still eating. I am 72 years old and have eaten in different states and countries and never had that happen. A couple of times I had to chase down the waiter for the bill, but never had a meal interrupted, stopped, to pay. I asked my wife who was with me and she said the same, it was a first for her. And she eats out more than me. Up until this the worst was missing something I ordered or not filling up my drink glass. That ruined the experience of the meal. And she did not return to fill my empty drinking glass. I carried some water in a little bottle and filled my own glass. Guess that made it a one of a kind experience.Parking: All good.

Some of the best fair in town. Been a couple of times and its always busy. Onion rings are crazy good. Cheesesteaks are tasty and very respectable for a town like Fairbanks (grew up in / around Philly)

Oh mylanta this place is an absolute Gem!!! Food is 100% top notch and hearty servings. Can't wait to try more. To those posting reviews here about slow service, quality takes time and it's totally worth it!
It's probably my favorite restraunt in Fairbanks. If you try nothing else, i would get the Tuck's Roll, which is probably the best philly/hoagie I've ever had. A must try

We've been to Friar Tucks many, many times so I was surprised to find that I've not yet reviewed them. In the past, my go-to's have been the French Onion Soup, their salads, and of course, the Cheese Fries. Always the Cheese Fries. We'll go and just get large orders of Cheese Fries. They're so good! This last trip, I ventured out and got the Cuban. I loved it! It was toasty and savory and sweet and tart and a bit spicy. Everything I want in a sandwich. I got the Cheese Fries added as a side because did I mention how good the cheese fries are? My partner got the Marian Chicken Sub but wasn't as impressed with her sandwich. Go get the cheese fries! And if you're hungrier, get the Cuban!

One of the servers wiped her nose with her hand many times before taking dishes from the window and serving the food. No hand washing seen. Snot good! Wasn’t my server but lost my appetite. Disgusting. Time for a little health and safety meeting!
