In the day ot was a great place now its just a dive it's always nasty in the bathrooms. The kitchen I wouldn't eat there. And the clientele wow could shower every once in a while.

It's a great place to have a good time. I worked there as a bouncer and bartender in the 1990s and I visited there this past week, June 2022, and it hasn't changed a bit.
So grateful for the legacy carried on by Ralph and crew. I am a 50+fan of the Howling dog. My first visit was at 7 years old in Ester under Mike's hand. Things change, move, grow. Life is big, love grows. Music is medicine ?

Place has potential, bartenders didn't pour an honest shot in drinks!! One of the fastest 3 counts I've seen. Sucks because they most likely don't realize they are cheating the customer..FYI can only bar, server said going thru bankruptcy... Band was great....

Oh my God, I loved the Howling Dog Saloon.Back in the 1980s, actually 1985 through 1987, I was a paratrooper at Charlie company. 6th Bn, 327 th infantry at Ft Wainwright.My buddies and I had a great time drinking, socializing and dancing.Rumor had it that the red carpet on the musicians stage was actually taken from Fairbanks Airport. It had reportedly been stood onby President Reagan and the Pope.
