Ate there 3 nights in a row while at the Borealis base camp. Excellent food. Especially the halibut and the baked Alaska. The camp experience wouldn’t be the same if they didn’t have this restaurant. Can’t attest for the pub food. Didn’t look special there but the restaurant food was quite good!

We visit at least once a year. It’s worth the drive out of town. The service is outstanding and the food is amazing. It’s a local favorite.

Dinner was exceptional each time. Steaks, Risotto, Pork Belly....all above average. The chef is excellent. The staff was exceedlingly accomodating and nice and the view....never got old. Breakfast was solid but nothing special. Bottom line....amazing place at the top of the world.

Overall, it’s a nice restaurant giving the circumstances it’s the only restaurant at Borealis Basecamp. The price is reasonable for a fine dining restaurant.

Fine-dining prices for a neighborhood restaurant quality.
We ate there two dinners and two breakfasts and both experiences should be separated.
The breakfast was OK, not many options though. Sometimes it was hard to find the Omelette chef which would go "missing" multiple times, each time for 15 minutes or so, creating a long queue of people waiting for him. He also wasn't nice, actually he was very rude! He had a temper and when ordering (mentioning what to include in the Omelette) he would yel "Next!" in a rude way, he never smiled or looked happy, it is like he didn't want to be there at all, and it wasn't only for us, this was his temper with everyone, in both of the mornings we stayed there.
Regarding dinner the prices are outrageous and totally not worth it.
The quality wasn't consistent, neither the staff quality. Everything was nice and romantic in the first night, but not in the second night.
Some of the items were missing from the menue the second night so we had to order the same things again.
The steak was tasty the first night but not the second night, the same regarding the fish.
Fine dining prices for average food, outrageously expensive.
At the second night we didn't get a window table, which is ok, but the couple that entered directly before us did. That couple change their mind 1 minute after sitting there and asked to sit elsewhere and they let them. Since we were still sitting (didn't remove our coats yet), we asked whether we can sit in the place of that couple, near the window and they refused because they wanted to give that table's staff a rest (which didn't make any sense, since they assign it to that couple...), but 3 minutes afterwards they reassigned it to a different couple that just entered the restaurant...not nice at all.
We stayed at Borealis Basecamp for two nights and we didn't have any options beside eating at this restaurant and they take advantage. That would be ok if the quality was good and consistent.

While visiting Fairbanks my wife and I picked this restaurant for Christmas Eve dinner. The service was excellent, Eugene was super friendly, attentive and professional. The food was DELICIOUS, fresh and very well presented. It's a bit of a drive from Fairbanks but definitely worth it.

We stayed at Borealis Basecamp for 3 nights with no car, so had no choice but to eat at the one on-site restaurant. The breakfast buffet was actually quite good. They had a fantastic omelette bar, and I also enjoyed their yogurt and granola as well. The dinner was ok but small portions for the price. The Alaskan halibut and the pan seared duck breast were both quite good, though not $60 good. Some of our group preferred the burgers on the pub menu, which is served in the lounge area, and luckily the wait staff were able to accommodate us sitting in the Latitude 65 main dining room, as the lounge is set up for smaller groups with its mostly 2 person high top tables, with some of our group ordering off the Latitude dinner menu and others ordering off the pub menu.

I normally don't post bad reviews but this was really really bad. The food was hardly palatable. I'm not sure if the quality of the food was impacted by the recent storm but I couldn't even finish the special of the day. The best thing we had that day were the pre-bagged s'more kits in our room. Overpriced but you have no other dining options. Our server was clueless as to what was going on, she just kept talking to other tables while we waited.
Lunch the next day was ok, but how can you screw up grilled cheese, a turkey sandwich, and bagged chips?!
Very disappointed

The food is excellent, but the reason for the 3 stars is it's way overpriced, especially for portion sizes, probably due to trapped audience. I normally only see this at high end Michelin star restaurants, which this is not.

Food is good. Make sure you tell them you are local to get 10% off. Food is bit pricey, but I don't mind paying extra for the chef they have out there. Ambiance is good minus one big factor, which is that it smells of fuel in that yurt due to their Toyo stoves. Gives me a headache many times. Service has been mostly great each time we go with the exception of one server but that's to be expected anywhere.

Latitude 65 restaurant was a bad experience. We were excited to dine here but the service was poor, the food was either too sweet or salty), and overall didn’t have a good experience.Ambience: The view from the corner seats is really nice. The space is heated so it’s warm and cozy.Breakfast: The breakfast is good with a live omelette bar but they ran out of it on 2nd dayDinner: Disappointing service. The service is outright bad. We tried our best to cheer ourselves up but it just got bad to worse. After having paid almost twice the cost than in other restaurants and there being no other option around, we expected better from them!

Latitude 65 is more than just a meal, it is an experience! The restaurant is inside a roomy Alaskan yurt located on top of a hill that offers incredible views out of the expansive windows. I am still thinking about watching the gorgeous sunset while we ate dinner. That isn’t even the best part. The food is fantastic. Chef George Easter is truly a master of showcasing locally sourced fresh food and flavors. Everything we ate was delightful. We had appetizers, main course and dessert. Highly recommend it!
