This was our go to bar while visiting Fairbanks! We came here multiple times during our trip. The bartenders are so warm and welcoming! They are all super knowledgeable about the beers on tap and will offer up samples to ensure you get a pint you'll enjoy! This place is low key, classy, and cozy - everything I'm looking for and highly recommended!!

The Place has a great laid back atmosphere that welcomes conversation with those around. The beer selection is vast and has a great variety. Food is so-so but not terrible, think premade cheese platter. Again the foods not terrible but also not why you'll be there. That being said the skewer you get with their Bloody Mary could be considered a big snack.

Lavelle's Taphouse has been my go-to place to go to have a beer or two after work in downtown Fairbanks for years. Excellent selection of a large number of brews and excellent customer service. And the atmosphere and decor was great from the beginning. However, recently people have been bring dogs into Lavelle's Taphouse and the staff looks the other way. It severely harms the atmosphere. It's not a dog park. Loyal patrons such as myself should not have to navigate a pack of dogs in an otherwise fine drinking establishment such as Lavelle's Taphouse. This recent development is not good for business.
